Transmission Line Fault Detection in Presence of Wind Turbine Using Wavelet Transform

TLDR
This paper deals with the detection of fault in the presence of wind turbine by using Wavelet Transform and simulation of power system model in MATLAB Simulink environment.
Abstract
For a reliable power system operation, protection is an important aspect. This is very critical present day issue. The fault occurs in Transmission line, Bus bars, Generators and Transformers but the nature of the faults often change in existence of renewable energy sources. The relaying systems always check the behavior of current and voltage in the power system and give commands. This paper deals with the detection of fault in the presence of wind turbine by using Wavelet Transform. Faults like Single line to Ground(LG), Two lines to Ground(LLG), Three lines to Ground(LLLG) has been examined. The work done in this paper includes simulation of power system model in MATLAB Simulink environment.
