The Evolution of Massive Stars

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors defined the intermediate mass stars as stars with masses larger than 9 M⊙ at the beginning of core hydrogen burning, and defined a hierarchy of stars with different stages of nuclear burning.
Journal ArticleDOI

Commission 1: Progress in Radio Measurement Methods and Standards

TL;DR: On Friday, October 13, 1967, the General Conference of Weights and Measures adopted the atomic definition of the unit of time, the second as mentioned in this paper, which is still heavily weighted toward cesium beam devices, with considerable work also on hydrogen masers.

The evolution of massive close binary systems - Estimates of the parameters governing mass and angular momentum loss

TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that mass transfer during overflow and mass transfer as mass loss occurs is related to a parameter a. When a mass element AM is expelled from the primary during this phase, a fraction £ is transferred to the secondary; the remaining part leaves the system.
