Acridine based (S,N,S) pincer ligand: designing silver(I) complexes for the efficient activation of A3 (aldehyde, alkyne and amine) coupling

TL;DR: The two Ag(I) complexes were explored for the coupling of aldehyde, alkyne and amine (A(3) reaction) and were found to be efficient as a 2.0 mol% loading of 1 and 0.5 mol% of 2 for good conversion.

Esterification of succinic anhydride to di-(p-cresyl) succinate over Mn+-montmorillonite clay catalysts

TL;DR: In this paper, the second order rate kinetics and the kinetic parameters such as rate constant (k), equilibrium constant (K), and Gibbs free energy (G°) for the reaction have been determined.

Do enzymes recognise remotely located stereocentres? Highly enantioselective Candida rugosa lipase-catalysed esterification of the 2- to 8-methyldecanoic acids

TL;DR: Several racemic methyl decanoic acids have been synthesised and successfully resolved in esterification with 1-hexadecanol at aw=0.8 in cyclohexane using immobilised Candida rugosa lipase (CRL) as catalyst.

Merocyanine solvatochromic dyes in the study of synergistic effects in mixtures of chloroform with hydrogen-bond accepting solvents.

TL;DR: The molar transition energy (E(T)) polarity values for the solvatochromic probes revealed a very different profile in comparison with the other two dyes, which suggests that in mixtures containing chloroform, the microenvironment of the dye seems to be important in determining the contribution of the structure resonances responsible for the stability of the dyed.
