Kinematics of coupler curves for spherical four-bar linkages based on new spherical adjoint approach

TL;DR: In this article, a unified spherical adjoint approach is established to study both the local and global geometric properties in order to enrich the atlas of spherical coupler curves with geometric characteristics, which can be adopted to reveal distribution characteristics of spherical Coupler curves.

Hybrid Optimization Based Mathematical Procedure for Dimensional Synthesis of Slider-Crank Linkage

TL;DR: Several illustrative examples will prove the validity of the proposed optimization methodology, in some cases achieving an even better result compared to mechanisms with a higher number of dimensional parameters, such as the four-bar mechanism or the Watt’s mechanism.

On the Solution of Multi-Precision-Point Path Synthesis of Planar Four-Bar Mechanisms Based on Solution Region Methodology

TL;DR: The solution region synthesis method is to represent an infinite number of mechanism solutions in a plane, in which the x-coordinate and the y-coordinated of the plane are both taken as the concerned parameters of the mechanisms.

Segmented Spectrum Energy Characteristics-based Density Clustering of Partial Discharge Signals

TL;DR: A feature extraction method based on the signal spectrum was proposed, and the DBSCAN density clustering algorithm was used to process the discharge signals, which can classify the discharge signal automatically and effectively so that a large number of pulse signals can be screened and identified efficiently and quickly.

Optimum synthesis of path generating four-bar mechanisms using differential evolution and a modified error function

TL;DR: In this article, a new error function was proposed for optimum synthesis of path generating mechanisms, which was formulated in a way that makes it suitable for use in applications when the primary requirement is that the synthesized path should match closely with the prescribed path.
