TLDR
In this paper, the authors provide an introduction to the theory of propagation and the dynamics of mesoscale atmospheric masses and wave propagation in the field of radiophysics, as well as their role in the generation of clear air turbulence (CAT).
Abstract
Development in Atmospheric Science, 2 In recent years 'here has been increased interest in mesoscale atmospheric waves as newly developed atmospheric probes such as radars and acoustic echo sounders have made it possible to study these waves in great detail. Numerous observations reported in a rapidly expending literature on the subject have demonstrated that these waves are more than mere curiosities; in fact, they can play an essential role in the generation of some kinds of clear air turbulence (CAT), . thus Creating a hazard to commercial aircraft;, and they may be very important to the very dynamics of the larger-scale atmospheric circulation, This timely book provides the interested meteorologist, radiophysicist. and graduate student with a self-contained introduction to the theory of propagation and the dynamics of mesoscale atmospheric waves.

Physical Effects of the Lipetsk Meteoroid: 1

TL;DR: In this paper, the physical effects associated with the passage through the atmosphere and airburst of a meteoroid near Lipetsk (Russia) on June 21, 2018 have been estimated, and a comprehensive modeling of the processes initiated by the meteoroid's passage through all geospheres has been performed.

Atmospheric pressure fluctuations in the far infrasound range and emergency transport events coded as circulatory system diseases

TL;DR: Results suggest that APF could be considered as a meteorotropic factor capable of influencing circulatory system diseases and a higher sensitivity of rheumatic and cerebro-vascular diseases to DHA, and ischaemic and hypertensive diseases to Rdn.

Infrasound as a Detector of Local and Remote Turbulence

TL;DR: In this paper, a comparison of infrasound integrated spectral energy to turbulent kinetic energy from a nearby sonic anemometer and a sodar was made to detect atmospheric turbulence in an experimental campaign in Hungary in 2013.

On the instability of internal gravity waves propagating at small but finite angles to the vertical

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the instability of an IGW propagating at a very small but finite angle to the vertical by using the Fourier method and the Sivashinsky integral relations.

Winds and composition changes in the thermosphere using the transfer function model

TL;DR: In this article, a semi-analytical Transfer Function Model (TFM) is proposed to describe the thermosphere, which is based on the work of C.O. Hines.
