TLDR
With the obtained normal values, the corneal horizontal diameter was not significantly greater in males than in females and more precise determination of microcornea and macrocornea will be possible in the future.
Abstract
Purpose:The corneal horizontal diameter (white-to-white) is abnormal in diseases like microcornea, relative anterior microphthalmos, and corneal dystrophies. Because normal values are described imprecisely in the literature, the purpose of this study was to reevaluate the horizontal corneal diameter

TL;DR: The cornea lacks the neurobiological sophistication of the retina and the dynamic movement of the lens; yet, without its clarity, the eye would not be able to perform its necessary functions.

Contact lenses in the management of keratoconus.

TL;DR: The range of contact lens modalities currently available for the successful optical correction of keratoconus is greatly expanded, including rigid gas-permeable (GP) lenses, intralimbal lenses, corneosclal lenses, scleral lenses, Hybrid lenses, hybrid lenses, and piggyback lenses.

Collamer intraocular contact lens to correct high myopia

TL;DR: The intimate contact between the contact lens and the natural lens raises the possibility of cataract formation, however, examination by Scheimpflug photography and ultrasound biomicroscopy showed no progressive lens opacities.
