The results provide further evidence to support the hypothesis that picolinic acid facilitates absorption of dietary zinc.
The results suggest that with erythrocytes as the vehicles, thiamine might be playing an enhancer role in uptake of zinc, whereas the action of ascorbic acid might be inhibitory for zinc uptakes under deficient zinc states.
The total urinary pantothenic acid of adults was 3.24±0.6, and the free form 3.23±0.6mg/day, suggesting that the enzymatic treatment is not necessary, since urinary pantothenic acid is predominantly in the free form.

This operation is very effective at high acid concentrations and low concentrations of zinc sulfate.
Taken together the research findings suggest that OCs may alter the postabsorptive utilization of zinc.
To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report of the encapsulation of pantothenic acid.
Moreover, we have demonstrated that kinetic studies using stable isotopes of zinc can provide novel information on exchangeable zinc pools in clinical situations.
The authors present a new model of zinc currents and zinc toxicity that offers expanded opportunities for zinc-selective therapeutic chelation interventions.
