The most nearly ideal and simple silicon/electrolyte interfaces may be found with certain organic solvents.
The experiments show that the solvent molecules interact synergistically with porous silicon and the main pathways include the surface hydrophobic interaction, dipole-dipole interaction and hole trapping, the later being the dominant pathway in quenching of porous silicon photoluminescence.

Is silicone rubber soluble in deep eutectic solvent ?4 answersSilicone rubber can be soluble in certain solvents. While deep eutectic solvents (DESs) have been primarily studied for their interaction with silica-filled rubber composites, other solvents have also been explored for silicone rubber. For instance, an organic solvent with specific solubility parameters and boiling points has been used to reduce low-molecular siloxanes in silicone rubber products. Additionally, a solvent designed for dissolving silicone is described to contain specific solvents that enhance silicone solubility. Therefore, while deep eutectic solvents have shown promise in enhancing the properties of rubber composites, other solvents tailored for silicone dissolution may be more suitable for silicone rubber solubility.
How to produced doped silicon film by neutone dopping?5 answersTo produce doped silicon film by neutron doping, various methods can be employed based on the desired characteristics of the film. One approach involves utilizing a silicon powder doping method, where phosphorus powder is gasified under a protective atmosphere to dope the silicon powder, enhancing its electric conductivity. Another method includes layer-by-layer growth of single crystalline silicon with a low-temperature process, where dopant precursors like PH3 are intermittently injected to achieve controlled doping levels and smooth film surfaces. Additionally, a method for doping silicon-based film by eutectic growth offers uniform doping and the ability to control doping ratios effectively, resulting in films with high doping concentration and low ion damage. These techniques provide options for producing doped silicon films with tailored properties for various applications.
How are organic semiconductors made?4 answersOrganic semiconductors are made using various methods. One method involves forming a patterned mask over an organic semiconductor layer, using the mask to pattern a layer over the organic semiconductor, exposing the mask to radiation to make it soluble, and then dissolving away the mask using a solvent. Another method includes forming a sacrificial layer on a substrate, forming a patterned organic semiconductor layer on the sacrificial layer, forming an insulating layer and a gate electrode on top, separating the sacrificial layer and substrate from the patterned organic semiconductor layer, and finally forming a source-drain electrode on the patterned organic semiconductor layer. Additionally, a composition for producing organic semiconductor devices includes a solvent and an organic semiconductor material, with the moisture content of the solvent being controlled and the organic semiconductor material being selected from specific compounds. Another approach involves placing a substrate with a crystalline material film in a bag, removing gas from the bag and sealing it, and then pressurizing the laminate through the bag to create an organic semiconductor element with high density and carrier mobility.
How to make silicon based products?5 answersSilicon based products can be made using various methods. One method is the molten salt electrolysis approach, specifically the FFC Cambridge Process, which allows for the production of high purity silicon products with controllable nanostructures at low temperatures. Another method involves the production of chemically bonded silicon nitride, which is used for a wide range of products in various industries. This method includes mixing technical silica with a plasticizer, molding the blanks, removing the plasticizer, and subsequently nitriding the blanks. Additionally, slip coating based on a composition of silicifying agent and temporary binding agent can be formed on a work-piece from porous carbon-graphite material, followed by silicifying through heating in silicon vapors. Furthermore, silicon products can be obtained from the fly ash produced during the gasification process of sugarcane bagasse. This involves using an alumina high temperature reactor and microwaves as the heat source.
What are the organic solvents that dissolve vitamins and minerals?5 answersOrganic solvents that dissolve vitamins and minerals include humic acids, aprotic organic solvents such as dichloromethane and acetonitrile, and a solution consisting of water and an additive such as 1-hydroxyethane, 1, 1-diphosphonic acid mixed with hydroxymethylene phosphonic acid, phosphonoformic acid, sulfamic acid, oxalic acid, hydroxyacetic acid, 2-amino ethane sulfonic acid, or fluoroboric acid.
