TL;DR: In this article , the authors identify and analyze the four core driving forces that shaped the complex picture of rural tourist businesses: marketability, participatory, crisis mitigation, and sustainability.
Abstract: The aim of this paper is to identify and analyze the four core driving forces that shaped the complex picture of rural tourist businesses. These driving forces are marketability, participatory, crisis mitigation and sustainability. This study focused on the scholarly perspective to study and analyze the rural tourism businesses’ literature and its link with these four driving forces. By using the bibliometric analysis technique and VosViewer as a visualization tool, the results revealed that less than 50% of rural tourism literature was concerned with local businesses. Regarding the four driving forces, sustainability was the most linked force with the rural tourism businesses’ scientific production. Contrarily, a relatively small body of the rural tourism businesses’ literature discussed marketability, participatory and crisis mitigation, despite their significant role in the development of these local rural businesses. In addition, the results of this study showed the interest of rural tourism articles in the crisis mitigation pillar, especially recently after the COVID-19 pandemic.

TL;DR: In this article , the authors determine to what extent the quality of rural service can contribute to improving rural tourism, and predictions for the continuation of the trend in terms of increasing the number of overnight stays in rural households.
Abstract: Rural tourism in Serbia had its chance to shine with the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic. The aim of this study was to determine to what extent the quality of rural service can contribute to improving rural tourism, and predictions for the continuation of the trend in terms of increasing the number of overnight stays in rural households. The obtained results show a small number of services in the sector could be improved, but that all elements except price value can influence the future development of rural tourism and that the number of overnight stays is expected to continue to grow. The importance and innovativeness of the research is reflected in the specific methodology that was applied, and the results complement those of previous research. It has been shown that villages in Serbia can create a barrier against COVID-19 through tourism.

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors outline a tourism contribution model that policy-makers can use to support tourism-based rural community development and propose a six-step theoretical procedure as a guideline for constructing a valid contribution model.
Abstract: While the main benefits of rural tourism have been studied extensively, most of these studies have focused on the development of sustainable rural tourism. The role of tourism contributions to rural community development remains unexplored. Little is known about what tourism contribution dimensions are available for policy-makers and how these dimensions affect rural tourism contributions. Without a clear picture and indication of what benefits rural tourism can provide for rural communities, policy-makers might not invest limited resources in such projects. The objectives of this study are threefold. First, we outline a rural tourism contribution model that policy-makers can use to support tourism-based rural community development. Second, we address several methodological limitations that undermine current sustainability model development and recommend feasible methodological solutions. Third, we propose a six-step theoretical procedure as a guideline for constructing a valid contribution model. We find four primary attributes of rural tourism contributions to rural community development; economic, sociocultural, environmental, and leisure and educational, and 32 subattributes. Ultimately, we confirm that economic benefits are the most significant contribution. Our findings have several practical and methodological implications and could be used as policy-making guidelines for rural community development.

TL;DR: Based on theoretical analysis of the connotations of and influencing factors on rural green development, the authors systematically explains its promotion mechanisms, its heterogeneity, and transmission effects of the integration of agriculture and tourism (hereinafter referred to as IAT) on Rural green development; constructs and measures development indicators of IAT based on the three dimensions factors, performance, and structure.
Abstract: Based on theoretical analysis of the connotations of and influencing factors on rural green development, this paper systematically explains its promotion mechanisms, its heterogeneity, and transmission effects of the integration of agriculture and tourism (hereinafter referred to as IAT) on rural green development; constructs and measures development indicators of IAT based on the three dimensions factors, performance, and structure; constructs comprehensive indicators of rural green development based on the three dimensions production, life, and ecology; and takes the panel data of 152 prefecture-level cities with agricultural leisure demonstration counties from 2010 to 2019 as samples for empirical testing. Results show that (1) IAT has a significant positive effect on rural green development, and endogenous tests based on instrumental variables and robustness tests show that the above conclusion is valid; (2) heterogeneity analysis shows that IAT plays a more significant role in promoting rural green development in high-human-capital areas, central and western regions, and non-major grain-producing areas; and (3) labor structure, capital input, and technological progress can play a transmitting role in promoting rural green development through IAT. At the end, this paper puts forward some countermeasures to promote rural green development by implementation of the quality projects strategy of IAT, the “tailor-made” support policy of IAT, based on the advantages of resource endowment and improvement of transmission mechanisms based on labor structure, capital input, and technological progress.

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors analyzed the sustainability strategy of rural tourism development in Panjalu, Ciamis, Indonesia and combined two methods, consisting of the Multi-Dimensional Scaling (MDS) and the Analytic Network Process (ANP).
Abstract: Indonesia is an agricultural country, and most of its territory is in the form of villages that have the potential to be developed as rural tourism centers. One area that has the potential to be developed into rural tourism centers is Panjalu, Indonesia. However, the sustainable development of rural tourism in Panjalu, Indonesia, still needs to be improved, so the community cannot enjoy the benefits of this rural tourism. This study aimed to analyze the sustainability strategy of rural tourism development in Panjalu, Ciamis, Indonesia. This study combined two methods, consisting of the Multi-Dimensional Scaling (MDS) and the Analytic Network Process (ANP). The MDS results show that rural tourism sustainability in Panjalu, Indonesia is included in the sufficient category, with a sustainability index of 57,998; 66,278; and 51,862, for ecological, socio-cultural and economic criteria, respectively. The MDS also analyzes which attributes are sensitive to the sustainability status. The most sensitive attributes for each criterion include Biodiversity for ecological criteria (RMS 2.224), Local Community Involvement for the social-culture criteria (1.147), and Livelihood Diversification for the economic criteria (1.245). These most sensitive attributes are, then, used as a reference for developing sustainable rural tourism development strategies. As a result, the strategic priority ranking for rural tourism in Panjalu, Indonesia is rural tourism based on culture and community development.

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors examined the success factors and build the framework of rural tourism entrepreneurship for a sustainable tourism village, and revealed ten factors for creating successful sustainable tourism villages through rural tourism entrepreneurs, which were further grouped into three dimensions (economic, social, and environmental sustainability).
Abstract: Abstract This study aims to examine the success factors and build the framework of rural tourism entrepreneurship for a sustainable tourism village. This is an important research topic, as 44.28% population in the world live in rural areas; specifically 44.02% population in Indonesia resides in a rural area which indicates how important rural areas are for future development. This study used a purposive sampling technique to determine the priority issues of the sustainability of the tourism village. The data was gathered from semi-structured interviews with actors’ influential in the success of tourism villages. This study was conducted with a qualitative approach and a case study design. This study uses content analysis in describing the findings from the collected data to better understand the case study. It focuses on a case of six tourism villages in Indonesia that have received awards as sustainable tourism villages, as it might be adopted by the other tourism villages. The results revealed ten factors for creating successful sustainable tourism village through rural tourism entrepreneurship. Those factors are income management, business unit development, economic growth, mutual cooperation, collaboration, innovation, creativity, environmental awareness, resource management, and visitor management. These 10 factors are further grouped into three dimensions (economic, social, and environmental sustainability). The study makes new framework of rural tourism entrepreneurship and useful for the strategy and decision-making process.

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors investigate the aims and motives of tourism managers to integrate cultural concepts into rural tourism, who has participated in the cultural integration process, and how cultures have been integrated in rural tourism.
Abstract: Rural tourism plays an increasing role in maintaining sustainable rural development. Integrating culture into rural tourism is multifaceted. Local communities have often been regarded as homogeneous, and different voices within them are selectively presented or re-interpreted by those in power. A better understanding of how and why cultures are integrated into rural tourism is urgently needed. This paper aims to investigate (1) the aims and motives of tourism managers to integrate cultural concepts into rural tourism; (2) who has participated in the cultural integration process; and (3) how cultures have been integrated into rural tourism. Based on a scoping literature review, we found that cultures could add more attractions, such as historical heritage, artwork, cultural landscape, customs, food, and language, to the natural landscape and bring more tourists to rural areas. However, integrating cultures into rural tourism is not always successful. Conflicts of interest among different stakeholders are also often found. Some of the worst cases of cultural integration have even destroyed the original natural landscape and local cultures. While cultural integration is complicated, injustice and perverse effects do not have to be a consequence of integrating cultures into rural tourism. Multi-way communication among tourism providers, managers, and consumers can mitigate disruptive outcomes and unlock positive social outcomes.

TL;DR: Wang et al. as mentioned in this paper developed an overall evaluation system for analyzing the sustainable development of rural tourism and an analytical mechanism for an improvement strategy constructed using a modified DANP-mV model.
Abstract: Over the span of three decades, the development of rural tourism has substantially improved rural economies and the lives of rural residents; however, it has also negatively affected societies, cultures, and environments, which is not conducive to sustainable development. Motivated by the aim of meeting the Sustainable Development Goals, the balanced development of economic, social, cultural, and environmental factors in rural tourism can only be achieved by analyzing the current problems of rural tourism on the basis of an overall system. Therefore, this study developed an overall evaluation system for analyzing the sustainable development of rural tourism. This system contains an indicator framework for sustainable development of rural tourism and an analytical mechanism for an improvement strategy constructed using a modified DANP-mV model. In this study, the evaluation system was applied to the empirical case study of Yudong Village in China. The empirical case study results show that social sustainable development (D2) is not the first priority for improvement, although it exhibits the largest gap. Instead, environmental sustainable development (D4), which exhibits a smaller gap, should receive higher priority for improvement because it is the root cause of social sustainable development (D2). The overall improvement strategy for Yudong Village should follow this path: environmental sustainable development (D4) → social sustainable development (D2) → economic sustainable development (D1) → cultural sustainable development (D3). In addition to demonstrating the effectiveness of the rural tourism sustainable development evaluation system, the empirical case study also demonstrated that the system is capable of identifying the root causes of rural-tourism-related sustainability problems and contributing to the formulation of improvement strategies.

TL;DR: In this article , the authors analyzed the current situation of Chahaer Youyii Qianqi, Inner Mongolia, and the drawbacks of the traditional tourism model and provided an overall plan for the village and to create a new type of village with sustainable development in terms of housing, tourism, agriculture and pastoralism.
Abstract: In the 2017 report of the 19th National Congress, it was pointed out that the issue of agriculture, rural areas, and farmers is a fundamental issue related to the people's livelihood of the country. The solution of the "three rural issues" must always be the top priority of the work of the whole Party and the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy. In the context of the rural revitalization strategy, this paper analyzes the current situation of Chahaer Youyii Qianqi, Inner Mongolia, and the drawbacks of the traditional tourism model. The study finds that the traditional model of tourism is a single "show and view" commercial complex, which rarely reflects the original Mongolian ethnic identity, spiritual connotations and sustainable development strategies. The analysis is intended to provide an overall plan for the village and to create a new type of village with sustainable development in terms of housing, tourism, agriculture, and pastoralism. The aim is to create an experiential tourism model based on the integration of multiple ethnic groups, the restoration of the original Mongolian form of habitation through a combination of clustered units, the development of cultural integration, the principle of sustainable development, the diversification of tourism forms, the diversification of industrial structures, and the construction of a complete infrastructure.

TL;DR: In this paper , a survey from the literature point of view is done to ensure that tourism is still available strategy for sustainable rural development, and the key fundamental aspects to creating a sustainable rural tourism development model are also identified.
Abstract: Although tourism is identified as a tool for development, it also leads to negative and detrimental impacts. Thus, a survey from the literature point of view is done to ensure that tourism is still available strategy for sustainable rural development. This paper uses four reliable databases, including Web of Science (WOS), Scopus, SAGE Publication, and Emerald Publishing, to look for prior investigations. Systematic Literature Reviews (SLR) were employed as past investigations with a qualitative approach, and data were retrieved using the PRISMA protocol. To be a viable development strategy for rural areas, it is crucial to harmonize the local communities’ economies, social structures, cultures, environments, identities, and values. The key fundamental aspects to creating a sustainable rural tourism development model are also identified in this paper. The development of rural tourism is thought to have a significant impact on creating a sustainable socio-economic system. A well-planned and well-executed rural tourism strategy will inevitably lead to sustained rural development. Here, sustainability refers to improved quality of life, a strong economy, and environmental responsibility.

TL;DR: In this article , a multi-method approach that combined community workshops and interviews with tourism stakeholders from four rural communities was used to expand the theorization of tourism-related empowerment processes by integrating Rowlands's model of empowerment and McClelland's classification of power experiences.
Abstract: Empowerment, as it represents community members’ sense of control and ability to cope with a changing environment, plays a crucial role in sustainable tourism. This study explored the (dis)empowerment processes in the context of rural tourism development. The power typology was presented as a process of change that transformed the lives of rural community members through tourism development. Through a multi-method approach that combined community workshops and interviews with tourism stakeholders from four rural communities, this study expanded the theorization of tourism-related empowerment processes by integrating Rowlands’s model of empowerment and McClelland’s classification of power experiences. Findings highlighted that tourism development could lead to both empowerment and disempowerment in all four expressions of power, through processes of “power over” (access and control over resources), “power within” (individual autonomy and belief), “power with” (opportunities for collective action), and “power to” (individual capability for taking action). Moreover, the four expressions of power were found to be interrelated and interwoven. Specifically, our findings revealed that 1) “power with” and “power to” build upon each other; 2) “power over” interacted with “power with”; 3) “power with”, “power to” and “power over” influenced “power within”. Theoretical and practical implications were discussed.

TL;DR: In this article , the authors proposed a conceptual model based on Delone and McLean's representative model of Information Systems Success Model, on Tan and Wu's arguments on tourism destinations' image relationship with tourists' visit intentions, and also on Verma's tourism destination brand equity concept.
Abstract: The relevance of the tourism industry to the overall sustainability of rural territories grows along with the demand for rural tourism destinations. Likewise, as the digital transition of rural tour operators takes place, their marketing initiatives also evolve towards a digital nature, which is why it is crucial to comprehend how the overall calibre of these activities might affect the perception of rural places, while also motivating tourists’ travel intentions and, as a result, promoting the general sustainability of the destination. Thus, in this paper, we propose a novel conceptual model based on Delone and McLean’s representative model of Information Systems Success Model, on Tan and Wu’s arguments on tourism destinations’ image relationship with tourists’ visit intentions, and also on Verma’s tourism destination brand equity concept. To validate the proposed model, an online focus group was developed involving several specialists whose opinions and perspectives corroborated the potential adequacy of the proposed artefact and, consequently, assumed its contribution and value. From this validation process, it was possible to highlight that digital marketing initiatives’ overall quality influences both rural destinations’ image and tourists’ intention to visit these territories, that a positive image will trigger tourists’ visit behaviour, and that these behaviours represent a valuable asset to rural destinations’ global sustainability.

TL;DR: Wang et al. as discussed by the authors used grounded theory to construct the impact model of tourists' authenticity perception on the sustainable development of rural tourism and found that tourists' perception of tourism authenticity includes four dimensions, namely, visual perception, embodied perception, using perception, and interactive perception.
Abstract: Short-distance rural tourism has become a major form of tourism in China in recent years, as problems caused by urbanization emerge and because of the strict restrictions on the flow of people during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study takes the ten most popular rural tourism destinations in China from 2011 to 2021 as the research object. First, the grounded theory is used to construct the impact model of tourists’ authenticity perception on the sustainable development of rural tourism. The results show that tourists’ perception of rural tourism authenticity includes four dimensions, namely, visual perception, embodied perception, using perception, and interactive perception. With local attachment as the intermediary, authentic perception has a positive effect on the sustainable development of rural tourism, including economic sustainability, ecological sustainability, and cultural sustainability. In the early stage of tourism development, tourists mainly focus on visual authenticity. As tourists are deeply involved in rural tourism, they will pay more attention to interactive authenticity. Then, based on AHP, the measurement index was constructed and a questionnaire survey was conducted among ten villages to verify the effectiveness and universality of the model.

TL;DR: In this paper , the impact of sustainable ecotourism on community participation using the MOA model was investigated in Cikolelet tourism village in the Ivory Coast, where participants whose information was examined by researchers, namely the head of the tourism village Pokdarwis and the village head and members of the Pokdarwi family.
Abstract: Ecotourism is a sustainable and responsible form of travel that promotes conservation, benefits local communities, and provides travelers with a unique and educational experience in natural environments. Although some tourism researchers have used the MOA model to study factors influencing community participation, there is still a scarcity of literature that can provide sufficient empirical support to prove the MOA model's predictive power for examining community participation in the tourism context. Especially in the context of nature tourism. Seeing this gap, the purpose of this research is to determine the impact of sustainable ecotourism on community participation using the MOA model.. This research was conducted in Cikolelet Tourism Village. There were participants whose information was examined by researchers, namely the head of the Cikolelet Tourism Village Pokdarwis and the Village Head and members of the Pokdarwis. The result show that the prospects to implementing sustainable ecotourism in Cikolelet rural tourism area can develop and promote community participation

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors examined the legal regulation of agricultural tourism in the Russian Federation and proposed a model to regulate the activities of agrotourism based on small-scale enterprises and as a result does not require large investments.
Abstract: Tourism is a promising field of activity that requires state control. The study examines the legal regulation of agricultural tourism. The subject of the study is the legislation regulating the activities of agrotourism. Nowadays, tourist travel is of great importance. From the legal side, tourist trips realize the rights of citizens to rest, leisure and freedom of movement. The tourism industry is certainly part of the economic sphere and closely interacts with it. Rural tourism can be considered as a source of income for rural residents. Such income can catalyze the development of various areas of the agro-industrial complex. The methods may be different, for example, attracting residents, investors, as well as replacing them with high-quality infrastructure. Rural tourism is based on small-scale enterprises, and as a result does not require large investments. But its development as a separate industry has social significance for stimulating rural areas. Currently, agrotourism in the Russian Federation occupies no more than 2% among all other types of tourism.

TL;DR: Zhang et al. as discussed by the authors evaluated the empowerment of rural women in the context of sustainable tourism development, identify the factors that influence their empowerment, examine the impact of women's empowerment on sustainable tourism, and explore innovative approaches to empower rural women.
Abstract: Purpose: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the empowerment of rural women in the context of sustainable tourism development, identify the factors that influence their empowerment, examine the impact of women's empowerment on sustainable tourism development, and explore innovative approaches to empower rural women. Theoretical Framework: This study combines four factors that influence women's empowerment, namely women's entrepreneurship, education, social capital, and human capital, to form a theoretical framework based on empowerment theory, and uses the empowerment of women as a mediator to explore the elements that impact the sustainable growth of rural tourism. Design/Methodology/Approach: A mixed research method was employed, starting with qualitative research, where 11 relevant interviews were conducted to gain a preliminary understanding of the factors affecting women's empowerment and the sustainability of rural tourism. Subsequently, a 68-item survey questionnaire was used in the quantitative research stage. A total of 340 responses were collected. The reliability of the questionnaire was tested using Cronbach's alpha, and validation factor analysis was used to assess its validity. Structural analysis and equation modeling (SEM) techniques were used to test the hypotheses of the study. Findings: The study shows that women's entrepreneurship, education, human and social capital have a positive impact on women's empowerment and sustainable growth of rural tourism. Women's empowerment mediates the relationship between these factors and sustainable development of rural tourism, which also positively impacts sustainable community, economic, environmental, and cultural development. Therefore, promoting women's empowerment and enhancing their access to education and resources are essential for achieving sustainable growth of rural tourism and community development. Research, Practical & Social implications: This study proposes a new theoretical framework that includes female entrepreneurship, education, social capital, and human capital to fill the gap in knowledge. The development of women in rural tourism is also crucial for society's progress towards civilization, and policies and incentives should be implemented to encourage their participation and ensure their effective involvement. This will contribute to the growth and sustainable development of China's rural tourism industry. Originality/value: This research provides valuable insights into the role of women's empowerment, education, human capital, and social capital in driving sustainable rural tourism development.Furthermore, this research has a significant impact on how Chinese farmers participate in rural tourism in the future, providing insights into rural revitalization efforts. This study underscores the importance of innovative research in driving perspectives on rural tourism and empowering women, which are essential elements for the sustainable development of rural communities.

TL;DR: In this article , the authors explored the spatiotemporal characteristics and driving factors of land use for rural tourism in areas that eliminated poverty from 2009 to 2021, and put forward targeted governance measures to promote the high-quality development of rural tourism, poverty alleviation, and rural revitalization.
Abstract: This study explores the spatiotemporal characteristics and driving factors of land use for rural tourism in areas that eliminated poverty from 2009 to 2021. It puts forward targeted governance measures to promote the high-quality development of rural tourism, poverty alleviation, and rural revitalization. The analysis is based on exploratory spatial analysis methods and geographical detectors. The results show that (1) the overall level of land use for rural tourism was low but grew very quickly with large regional differences. (2) There was a significant spatial agglomeration in land use for rural tourism land. The spatial distribution of land use for rural tourism landscapes was characterized by two cores and four clusters, while spatial distribution of rural tourism facilities was characterized by one cluster with multiple branches. (3) The driving factors of spatial variations in land use for rural tourism were diverse and dynamic. Dominant factors shifted from natural conditions and geographical location to socioeconomic and tourism resources and regional policy dimensions. Policy should emphasize the development of the rural tourism industry, innovate the diversified “tourism + development” model, enhance the level of land use for rural tourism, broaden avenues for farmers to increase their income, and strengthen residents’ motivation for development.

TL;DR: The authors examined how destination stakeholders express multiple categories of pride (e.g., vicarious pride and self-pride) and the manifestations of pride in a rural tourism context, and applied a multi-method approach that combines focus group discussions and personal interviews with 51 stakeholders.
Abstract: While pride is identified as a multilayered and complex emotion, tourism studies primarily focus on the pride generated by the presence of tourists acknowledging the residents’ culture and do not address all the categories of pride. This research gap is important to investigate because research indicates that pride is associated with residents’ perceived well-being, empowerment, and sense of belonging. We examine this contingency through the lens of Hume’s Theory of Pride to investigate how destination stakeholders express multiple categories of pride (e.g., vicarious pride and self-pride) and the manifestations of pride (e.g., prestige and caring) in a rural tourism context. We apply a multi-method approach that combines focus group discussions and personal interviews with 51 stakeholders (i.e., public officials, residents, and tourism business owners) from four rural tourism destinations. These destination stakeholders reveal more thorough and powerful meanings of pride that expand Hume’s theory and provide insights to practitioners.

TL;DR: Wang et al. as mentioned in this paper analyzed the distribution pattern and spatial correlation of rural tourism and traditional villages in Henan Province, China, and discussed the relationship between the spatial correlation and regional natural environment and socioeconomic factors.
Abstract: In recent years, the survival and development of traditional villages in China have been serious challenges. Rural tourism is regarded as an important way to solve rural problems, and the combination of rural culture and tourism has become a new power point for rural development. Therefore, it is necessary to explore the spatial distribution structure between traditional villages and rural tourism. In this paper, rural tourism was represented by the rural tourism characteristic village (RTCV), and Henan Province, China, was taken as a study area to analyze the distribution pattern and spatial correlation of rural tourism and traditional village (TV) and discuss the relationship between the spatial correlation and regional natural environment and socioeconomic factors. The results show that the coupling of the spatial correlation between RTCVs and TVs in Henan was clear. They could be divided into 5 regions based on geographical factors. In addition, the research summarized 4 typical spatial structures between TVs and RTCVs in Henan based on the regional symbiosis theory, and the spatial pattern formation mechanism of TVs and RTCVs was discussed based on three driving mechanisms. The spatial structure of the two can provide reference value for other developing countries and regions to achieve sustainable rural development.

TL;DR: Wang et al. as mentioned in this paper investigated the effect of tourists' rural perception on their willingness to visit rural tourist destinations and concluded that tourists' perceptions have a positive and strong impact on their visit to rural tourism destinations, and its factors have different impacts.
Abstract: ABSTRACT: The development of rural tourism destinations in China is confronting multiple issues, including blind expansion and a repetitive developmental model, causing the sector to enter a vicious competition cycle. The perception among tourists of rural tourism destinations, and their willingness to revisit places will provide insights for service providers that will enable them to form better strategies to stand out in the fiercely competitive market. Understanding tourist perception will enable providers to contribute to the construction of rural tourist destinations. Taking Ma Wei Yi Folk Culture Village as a case study, this paper combines the development status of rural tourism in Ma Wei Yi, obtains first-hand data through questionnaire interviews, verifies the research hypothesis, and uses Pearson coefficient to carry out correlation analysis. The paper concluded that tourists’ rural perception has a positive and strong impact on their willingness to revisit, and its factors have different impacts. According to the empirical results, tourist destination providers should pay attention to rural perceptual development in their follow-up development and operation processes. They can effectively attract tourists to visit multiple times, enhance tourist’s sense of enjoyable experience, and achieve sustainable development.

TL;DR: Wu et al. as discussed by the authors explored the main factors affecting the tea-Tourism integration in Wujiatai Village, Enshi Prefecture, Hubei Province, and evaluated its level of development.
Abstract: The industrial integration function of rural tourism plays an important role in promoting rural revitalization. Taking Wujiatai Village, Enshi Prefecture, Hubei Province as an example, using AHP and FCE, establishes the evaluation index system of Tea-Tourism Integration effect of Wujiatai Village, explores the main factors affecting the Tea-Tourism Integration in Wujiatai Village, and evaluates its level of development. The research shows that: (1) The overall membership of the Tea-Tourism Integration Effect of Wujiatai Village was 0.3222, which is a "Average" level. (2) Tourism Output Value and Tribute Tea Culture Inheritance are in the top two, reflecting that the development of local tourism and Tribute Tea Culture Inheritance of Wujiatai Village are the key factors and important indexes that affect the Tea-Tourism Integration Effect of Wujiatai Village, which needs for continuous maintenance and improvement. (3) Tribute Tea Sales, Scientific and Technological Innovation Intensity, Construction of Talent Team and Completeness Degree of Industrial Chain are the important factors restricting the further high-quality development of the Tea-Tourism Integration of Wujiatai Village, which needs to be further improved. Based on this, corresponding countermeasures and suggestions are put forward to help the rural revitalization of ethnic areas
