TL;DR: Capturing and feeding of data with user friendly GUI is developed with the help of PIC16F877A microcontroller with developed user friendly Graphical User Interface in Visual Basic platform.
Abstract: Data acquisition (DAQ) is a process of bringing a real world signal in to the computer for processing, analysis, storage or other data manipulation. Here in this paper not only the process of data capture from real world in real time, also the process of data feed to real world in real time from computer in different format is also discussed with a developed user friendly Graphical User Interface (GUI) in Visual Basic platform. To control any parameter of a device it is necessary to have the real time data of that parameter in the controller. Also, to control the device it is required to feed some data back to the real world after some processing of the captured data. Here in this paper capturing and feeding of data with user friendly GUI is developed with the help of PIC16F877A microcontroller.

TL;DR: This paper presents CloudTUI-FTS: a powerful and user-friendly tool able to easily interact with different Cloud platforms and evaluates the effectiveness of the tool on the CloudLab infrastructure.
Abstract: The NIST defines Cloud Computing as a model for en-abling ubiquitous network access to a shared pool of con-figurable computing resources. Thanks to the popularity of Cloud Computing and its various area of applicability, in the last years various projects have been realized for building Cloud systems (e.g., Amazon Web Services, Nimbus, OpenStack, Eucalyptus, and Microsoft Azure, just to name a few). Unfortunately, most of these projects (especially the open source ones) have some drawbacks: the user interfaces are not userfriendly, the basic tasks are complex to setup and to configure even for users with computer science skills. In this paper we present CloudTUI-FTS: a powerful and user-friendly tool able to easily interact with different Cloud platforms. In particular, with CloudTUI FTS the user can perform both basic tasks (e.g., start-up/shut-down a service) and advanced tasks (e.g., create policies and mechanisms to prevent faults and to provide service scalability). We evaluate the effectiveness of our tool on the CloudLab infrastructure.

TL;DR: The rmlworkbench is proposed, a graphical user interface to support data owners administrating their Linked Data generation and publication workflow, and its underlying language is rml, since it allows to declaratively describe the complete Linked data generation workflow.
Abstract: Linked Data generation and publication remain challenging and complicated, in particular for data owners who are not Semantic Web experts or tech-savvy. The situation deteriorates when data from multiple heterogeneous sources, accessed via different interfaces, is integrated, and the Linked Data generation is a long-lasting activity repeated periodically, often adjusted and incrementally enriched with new data. Therefore, we propose the rmlworkbench, a graphical user interface to support data owners administrating their Linked Data generation and publication workflow. The rmlworkbench’s underlying language is rml, since it allows to declaratively describe the complete Linked Data generation workflow. Thus, any Linked Data generation workflow specified by a user can be exported and reused by other tools interpreting rml.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors propose a decentralized e-mail system for sending money in cryptocurrencies based on public keys or their hashed forms, which is reminiscent of a prevalent e mail system, and is shown to be user friendly and desirably decentralised.
Abstract: Sending money in cryptocurrencies is majorly based on public keys or their hashed forms -- "addresses." These long random-looking strings are user unfriendly for transferring by other means than via copy-and-paste or QR codes. Replacing such strings with identifiers chosen by users themselves would significantly improve usability of cryptocurrencies. Such identifiers could be memorable, easier to write on paper or to dictate over phone. Main challenge lies in designing a practically usable decentralised system for providing these identifiers. Former solutions have been built as centralised systems or come with nonnegligible limitations. Our solution is reminiscent of a prevalent e-mail system, which is an already user friendly and desirably decentralised system. It is shown that our approach is directly applicable also to other systems that use long cryptographic identifiers.

TL;DR: The employment of LEGO Mindstorms NXT robotics as core component of low cost multidisciplinary platform for assisting elderly and visually impaired people and developing and expanding the system to encompass a range of applications beyond the initial design schematics to ease conducting a limited number of pre-described protocols is presented.
Abstract: This paper presents the employment of LEGO Mindstorms NXT robotics as core component of low cost multidisciplinary platform for assisting elderly and visually impaired people. LEGO Mindstorms system offers a plug-and-play programmable robotics toolkit, incorporating construction guides, microcontrollers and sensors, all connected via a comprehensive programming language. It facilitates, without special training and at low cost, the use of such device for interpersonal communication and for handling multiple tasks required for elderly and visually impaired people in-need. The research project provides a model for larger-scale implementation, tackling the issues of creating additional functions in order to assist people in-need. The new functions were built and programmed using MATLAB through a user friendly Graphical User Interface (GUI). Power consumption problem, besides the integration of WiFi connection has been resolved, incorporating GPS application on smart phones enhanced the guiding and tracking functions. We believe that developing and expanding the system to encompass a range of applications beyond the initial design schematics to ease conducting a limited number of pre-described protocols. However, the beneficiaries for the proposed research would be limited to elderly people who require assistance within their household as assistive-robot to facilitate a low-cost solution for a highly demanding health circumstance.

TL;DR: Experimental results show that the proposed data cleaning tool is highly efficient in data cleaning and is able to outperform existing state of the art tools.
Abstract: Recent advancement in Internet Technologies has made web browsing increasingly easy and user friendly. From the traditional method of desktop web browsing and the birth of dial up modem connection, users nowadays are able to enjoy a fast and reliable web browsing via high speed wireless Internet connection and portable mobile devices. Browsing a web has become much easier with the state of the art search engines such as Google, which provide much functionalities which could make browsing easier such as improved crawler, easy to use search interface, web personlization, Web 3.0 support and integration and many more. In order to build a robust and reliable search engine, the developer needs to integrate all the data and present them in a meaningful format for user’s viewing convenience. Integrating these data is a tedious task as data usually occur in numerous format, and layout. Furthermore, web developers usually present the data content in various languages of their choice, which made the processing of these data increasingly difficult. There is also no standard convention to represent the data format and even a standardize rule to process this data has not been developed. To resolve this issue, researchers develop data extractor which could effectively extract data from web sources, tabulate them, and used it for further processing. However, not all data are correctly extracted, they may either missed certain valuable information or contain additional unnecessary information. In the case of unnecessary information, researchers use a cleaning method to remove them such that the data extracted are free of errors. Removing these data is important as unnecessary information may affect the accuracy of subsequent extractor tools, hence may eventually prevent the tool from performing its task efficiently. In this research proposal, we embark on a data cleaning tool to clean data using ontology tools. Experimental results show that our tool is highly efficient in data cleaning and is able to outperform existing state of the art tools.
