TL;DR: In this article, a semiclassical polarization potential was used to study the effect of the Coulomb dipole polarizability on the elastic scattering of 6 He on 208 Pb at laboratory energies of 14, 16, 18 and 22 MeV.
Journal ArticleDOI

Shotter,A. C. Shotter,Olof Tengblad,P.L. Walden +29 more
TL;DR: Four-body continuum-discretized coupled-channels calculations, based on a three-body model of the 11Li projectile, are found to explain the measured angular distributions and confirm that the observed reduction is mainly due to the strong Coulomb coupling to the dipole states in the low-lying continuum of 11Li.
Journal ArticleDOI

L. Acosta,A. M. Sánchez-Benítez,M.E. Gómez,Ismael Martel,Francisco Pérez-Bernal,F. Pizarro,J. Rodriguez-Quintero,K. Rusek,M. A. G. Alvarez,M.V. Andrés,J. M. Espino,J. P. Elastic scattering of the halo nucleus He-6 from Pb-208 above the Coulomb barrier
O.R. Kakuee,Javad Rahighi,Javad Rahighi,A. M. Sánchez-Benítez,M.V. Andrés,S. Cherubini,S. Cherubini,Thomas Davinson,W. Galster,Joaquín Gómez-Camacho,A.M. Laird,M. Lamehi-Rachti,Ismael Martel,Alan Shotter,W.B. Smith,Jean Vervier,Philip Woods +16 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the role of Coulomb dipole polarisability has been investigated and large values of the imaginary diffuseness parameter are required in order to fit the data.
Journal ArticleDOI
11Li Breakup on 208Pb at Energies Around the Coulomb Barrier
J. P. Fernández-García,M. Cubero,M. Rodríguez-Gallardo,L. Acosta,Martín Alcorta,M. A. G. Alvarez,M. J. G. Borge,L. Buchmann,C. A. Diget,H. A. Falou,B. R. Fulton,H. O. U. Fynbo,D. TL;DR: Four-body continuum-discretized coupled-channels calculations, including both nuclear and Coulomb couplings between the target and projectile to all orders, reproduce the measured inclusive breakup cross sections and support the presence of a dipole resonance in the (11)Li continuum at low excitation energy.
