Impact of plasma triangularity and collisionality on electron heat transport in TCV L-mode plasmas
Yann Camenen,A. Pochelon,R. Behn,Alberto Bottino,Alessandro Bortolon,Stefano Coda,A. N. Karpushov,Olivier Sauter,Ge Zhuang +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the impact of plasma shaping on electron heat transport in TCV L-mode plasmas was investigated and it was shown that the electron heat transfer level exhibits a continuous decrease with decreasing triangularity and increasing collisionality.
Journal ArticleDOI
Toroidal plasma rotation in the TCV tokamak
TL;DR: In this article, the first toroidal rotation measurements in TCV ohmic L-mode plasmas with no external momentum injection were presented, and the toroidal velocity profile of the fully stripped carbon species is measured by active charge eXchange Recombination Spectroscopy with a temporal resolution of typically 90 ms and a spatial resolution of 2.5 cm, about 1/10 of the plasma radius.

TL;DR: In this paper, a real-time algorithm for disruption prediction, based on MHD activity signals from Mirnov coils, was developed exploiting a large database of disruptions, and a new actively cooled lithium limiter was inserted in the scrape-off layer, without any damage to the limiter surface.

Bulk plasma rotation in the TCV tokamak in the absence of external momentum input
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors measured up to the plasma edge in the toroidal and poloidal directions for both limited and diverted plasma configurations in Ohmic plasmas and in the presence of strong second harmonic electron cyclotron heating (ECH).
