Overview of the JET results in support to ITER

X. Litaudon, +1228 more
- 15 Jun 2017 -
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors reviewed the 2014-2016 JET results in the light of their significance for optimising the ITER research plan for the active and non-active operation, stressing the importance of the magnetic configurations and the recent measurements of fine-scale structures in the edge radial electric.
Journal ArticleDOI

Overview of the JET results

Francesco Romanelli, +1104 more
- 27 Mar 2015 -
TL;DR: In this paper, a detailed analysis of the plasma-facing components of the day-one tungsten divertor in ITER-like wall has been carried out, showing that the pattern of deposition within the divertor has changed significantly with respect to the JET carbon wall campaigns due to the absence of thermally activated chemical erosion of beryllium in contrast to carbon.
Journal ArticleDOI

Overview of the FTU results

G. Pucella, +127 more
- 01 Oct 2005 -
TL;DR: In this paper, a real-time algorithm for disruption prediction, based on MHD activity signals from Mirnov coils, was developed exploiting a large database of disruptions, and a new actively cooled lithium limiter was inserted in the scrape-off layer, without any damage to the limiter surface.
Journal ArticleDOI

Overview of progress in European medium sized tokamaks towards an integrated plasma-edge/wall solution

Harry M. Meyer, +527 more
- 28 Jun 2017 -
TL;DR: In this article, the authors integrated the plasma core performance with an edge and scrape-off layer (SOL) that leads to tolerable heat and particle loads on the wall.
