A Library of Peralkylated Bis‐guanidine Ligands for Use in Biomimetic Coordination Chemistry
Sonja Herres-Pawlis,Adam Neuba,Oliver Seewald,Tarimala Seshadri,Hans Egold,Ulrich Flörke,Gerald Henkel +6 more
TL;DR: A series of bis-guanidine ligands designed for use in biomimetic coordination chemistry has been extended to a library matrix combining unprecedented substitutional flexibility within the guanidyl residues with a wide range of aliphatic and aromatic spacers connecting these functionalities.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Connection between NHC Ligand Count and Photophysical Properties in Fe(II) Photosensitizers: An Experimental Study
Peter Zimmer,Lukas Burkhardt,Aleksej Friedrich,Jakob Steube,Adam Neuba,Rahel Schepper,Patrick Müller,Ulrich Flörke,Marina Huber,Stefan Lochbrunner,Matthias Bauer +10 more
TL;DR: The results demonstrate for the first time the close interplay between the number of NHC functionalities in Fe(II) complexes and their photochemical properties, as revealed in a comparison of the activity as photosensitizers in photocatalytic proton reduction.
Journal ArticleDOI
A halide-induced copper(I) disulfide/copper(II) thiolate interconversion.
TL;DR: A previously unknown chloride-induced disulfide–thiolate interconversion is reported, indicating an enormous but largely unrecognized potential for such reaction systems to act as novel electron sources and sinks, which has motivated us to explore this topic more deeply.
Journal ArticleDOI
N‐Heterocyclic Carbene Complexes of Iron as Photosensitizers for Light‐Induced Water Reduction
Peter Zimmer,Patrick Müller,Lukas Burkhardt,Rahel Schepper,Adam Neuba,Jakob Steube,Fabian Dietrich,Ulrich Flörke,Stefan Mangold,Markus Gerhards,Matthias Bauer +10 more
TL;DR: In this article, the potential of noble-metal-free iron-based photosensitizers for photocatalytic water reduction by using homo- and heteroleptic carbene complexes was proven.
Journal ArticleDOI
TL;DR: In this paper, the bisguanidine ligand N1,N2-bis(1,3-dimethylimidazolidin-2-ylidene)ethane-1,2-diamine (DMEG2e) is described.
