TL;DR: In this article , a new SARS-CoV-2 viral isolate Omicron-B.1.529 was announced, containing far more mutations in Spike (S) than previously reported variants, leading to a large number of mutations in the ACE2 binding site and rebalances receptor affinity to that of earlier pandemic viruses.
Journal ArticleDOI
Antibody escape of SARS-CoV-2 Omicron BA.4 and BA.5 from vaccine and BA.1 serum

Conlon,Alexandra Deeks,John Frater,Lisa Frending,Siobhan Gardiner,Anni Jämsén,Katie Jeffery,Tom Malone,Eloise Phillips,Lucy Rothwell,L Stafford +44 more
TL;DR: In this article , the neutralization of BA.4 and BA.5 has been studied using a range of vaccine and naturally immune serum and panels of monoclonal antibodies.
Journal ArticleDOI
Potent cross-reactive antibodies following Omicron breakthrough in vaccinees
Rungtiwa Nutalai,D. Zhou,Aekkachai Tuekprakhon,Helen M. Ginn,P Supasa,Changxiao Liu,Jiandong Huo,Alexander J. Mentzer,Helen M. E. Duyvesteyn,Aiste Dijokaite-Guraliuc,Donal T. Conlon,Alexandra Deeks,John Frater,Lisa Frending,Siobhan Gardiner,Anni Jämsén,Katie Jeffery,Tom Malone,Eloise Phillips,Lucy Rothwell,L Stafford +43 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors compared neutralization of Omicron BA.1, BA.2, and BA.3 by vaccine serum, possibly associated with its increased transmissibility.
Posted ContentDOI
Further antibody escape by Omicron BA.4 and BA.5 from vaccine and BA.1 serum
Aekkachai Tuekprakhon,Jiandong Huo,Rungtiwa Nutalai,Aiste Dijokaite-Guraliuc,D. Zhou,Helen M. Ginn,Muneeswaran Selvaraj,Changxiao Liu,Alexander J. Mentzer,P Supasa,Helen M. E. Stuart,Gavin R. Screaton +31 more
TL;DR: The neutralization of BA.4/5 shows reduced neutralization by serum from triple AstraZeneca or Pfizer vaccinated individuals compared to BA.1 and BA.2, raising the possibility of repeat Omicron infections.
Journal ArticleDOI
Intravitreal autologous mesenchymal stem cell transplantation: a non-randomized phase I clinical trial in patients with retinitis pigmentosa
Aekkachai Tuekprakhon,Siripakorn Sangkitporn,Adisak Trinavarat,Aulia Rahmi Pawestri,Visit Vamvanij,Monchai Ruangchainikom,Panya Luksanapruksa,Phitchapa Pongpaksupasin,Areerat Khorchai,Acharaporn Dambua,Patcharaporn Boonchu,Chonlada Yodtup,Mongkol Uiprasertkul,Somchai Sangkitporn,La-ongsri Atchaneeyasakul +14 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the safety, feasibility, and short-term efficacy of intravitreal injection of bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells (BM-MSCs) in participants with advanced stage retinitis pigmentosa (RP) were investigated.
