An insight into synthetic Schiff bases revealing antiproliferative activities in vitro.
TL;DR: This work has focussed its attention on the collected synthetic simple Schiff bases of aldimine- and ketIMine-types revealing anticancer activities in vitro, that have been described in the scientific literature during the last decade, and on structural variations whose affect the antiproliferative activity in sets of the designed molecules.
Journal ArticleDOI
Regio- and stereoselectivity of polar [2+3] cycloaddition reactions between (Z)-C-(3,4,5-trimethoxyphenyl)-N-methylnitrone and selected (E)-2-substituted nitroethenes
TL;DR: The effect of regiospecificity of the cycloadditions may be accounted for by the theory of electrophilicity indexes as discussed by the authors, which is determined by a compilation of steric and secondary orbital effects.
Journal ArticleDOI
Novel synthesis scheme and in vitro antimicrobial evaluation of a panel of (E)-2-aryl-1-cyano-1-nitroethenes.

TL;DR: An optimized and eco-friendly synthesis scheme for a panel of nitroalkenes bearing various functional groups in the aromatic moiety and bromine or cyano substituents in 1 position ofNitrovinyl moiety is presented and biological properties of such obtained (E)-2-aryl-1-cyano- 1-nitroethenes could be promising candidates for the replacement of traditional nitrofurane-containing antibacterial drugs.
Journal ArticleDOI
Calcium and phosphorus in medicine and treatment.
TL;DR: Adequate intakes of these nutrients are essential for achieving the peak bone mass (PBM), and a negative balance results from age-related bone loss, hence possible osteoporosis.
Trifluormethylalkenes in [2+3] cycloaddition reactions with nitrones
TL;DR: Data is compared for the [2+3] cycloaddition of dipolarophiles containing CF3 groups with nitrones whose application in organic synthesis has been systematically investigated for many years and is particularly important in the methodology of organofluorine compound synthesis.
