Recent Progress on Magnetorheological Solids: Materials, Fabrication, Testing, and Applications†

TL;DR: Magnetorheological (MR) materials are classified as smart materials due to their responsiveness to external magnetic stimuli as discussed by the authors, and they have led to broad applications in several potential fields.
Journal ArticleDOI

A facile method for production of high-purity silica xerogels from bagasse ash

TL;DR: In this article, the authors reported the synthesis of mesoporous silica xerogels in high purity from bagasse ash using NaOH solution and showed that the adsorption capacity was better for high-purity silica compared with low purity.
Journal ArticleDOI

Investigation on the Correlations between Droplet and Particle Size Distribution in Ultrasonic Spray Pyrolysis

TL;DR: In this paper, the measurement of droplet size distribution by means of a laser diffraction technique in ultrasonic spray pyrolysis was investigated, and the results showed that the mean size of precursor droplets decreased with increasing precursor temperature, concentration and addition of alcohol, while it increased with increasing spray volume rate and carrier gas flow rate.
Journal ArticleDOI

CuO/WO3 and Pt/WO3 nanocatalysts for efficient pollutant degradation using visible light irradiation

TL;DR: In this paper, the photodegradation of organic compounds using visible light irradiation was carried out using a flame assisted spray pyrolysis method (FASP) with a nanorod morphology.
