TL;DR: In this article, the binding energy of correlated two-electron, two-hole quasiparticles was determined to be $44.5$ meV at room temperature.
Journal ArticleDOI
Nonlinear Carrier Interactions in Lead Halide Perovskites and the Role of Defects
Ajay Ram Srimath Kandada,Stefanie Neutzner,Stefanie Neutzner,Valerio D’Innocenzo,Valerio D’Innocenzo,Francesco Tassone,Marina Gandini,Marina Gandini,Quinten A. Akkerman,Quinten A. Akkerman,Mirko Prato,Liberato Manna,Annamaria Petrozza,Guglielmo Lanzani,Guglielmo Lanzani +14 more
TL;DR: Examination correlation photoluminescence (ECPL) spectroscopy is used to investigate the recombination dynamics of the photogenerated carriers in lead bromide perovskites and quantitatively describe the carrier trapping dynamics within a generalization of the Shockley-Read-Hall formalism.
Journal ArticleDOI
Plasmonics in heavily-doped semiconductor nanocrystals
Francesco Scotognella,Giuseppe Della Valle,Ajay Ram Srimath Kandada,Margherita Zavelani-Rossi,Alberto Comin,Stefano Longhi,Liberato Manna,Guglielmo Lanzani,Francesco Tassone +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, the structural and photo physical properties of semiconductor nanocrystals have been investigated and a model for the ultrafast response of gold nanoparticles has been proposed, which is successfully interpreted by adapting models of the ultra-fast response.

TL;DR: In this article, the binding energy of correlated two-electron, two-hole quasiparticles was determined to be $44 \pm 5$\,meV at room temperature.
Journal ArticleDOI
Modulating the Electron–Hole Interaction in a Hybrid Lead Halide Perovskite with an Electric Field
Tomas Leijtens,Tomas Leijtens,Ajay Ram Srimath Kandada,Giles E. Eperon,Giulia Grancini,Valerio D’Innocenzo,Valerio D’Innocenzo,James M. Ball,Samuel D. Stranks,Henry J. Snaith,Annamaria Petrozza +10 more
TL;DR: This work investigates the effect of an applied external electric field on the photoexcited species of CH3NH3PbI3 thin films, both at room temperature and at low temperature, by monitoring the photoluminescence yield and PL decays and assigns this to field-induced alignment of the molecular dipoles, which reduces the vibrational freedom of the lattice and the associated local screening and hence results in a stronger electron-hole interaction.
