Journal ArticleDOI

Paclitaxel-Eluting versus Everolimus-Eluting Coronary Stents in Diabetes.

TL;DR: In patients with diabetes mellitus and coronary artery disease undergoing PCI, paclitaxel-eluting stents were not shown to be noninferior to everolimus-eluted stents, and they resulted in higher rates of target-vessel failure, myocardial infarction, stent thrombosis, and target-lesion revascularization at 1 year.
Journal ArticleDOI

The SPIRIT V-study: a clinical evaluation of the XIENCE V everolimus-eluting coronary stent system in the treatment of patients with de novo coronary artery lesions

TL;DR: Use of EES in patients with multiple, complex de novo lesions yielded 1-year major adverse cardiac events, stent thrombosis, and target lesion revascularization rates that are comparable to those of the more controlled SPIRit II and SPIRIT III trials.
Journal ArticleDOI
