Journal ArticleDOI
The AMBRE Project: searching for the closest solar siblings
V. Adibekyan,P. de Laverny,Alejandra Recio-Blanco,S. G. Sousa,E. Delgado-Mena,Georges Kordopatis,A. C. S. Ferreira,Nuno C. Santos,A. A. Hakobyan,Maria Tsantaki +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, a search for solar sibling candidates in AMBRE, the very large spectra database of solar vicinity stars, carried out a chemistry-and age-based search for sibling candidates.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Gaia-ESO Survey: {\alpha}-abundances of metal-poor stars
R. Jackson-Jones,Paula Jofre,Keith Hawkins,A. Hourihane,Gerard Gilmore,Georges Kordopatis,C. C. Worley,Sofia Randich,Antonella Vallenari,Thomas Bensby,Angela Bragaglia,Ettore Flaccomio,Andreas Korn,Alejandra Recio-Blanco,Rodolfo Smiljanic,M. T. Costado,Ulrike Heiter,Vanessa Hill,Carmela Lardo,P. de Laverny,Guillaume Guiglion,Šarūnas Mikolaitis,Simone Zaggia,Grazina Tautvaisiene +23 more
TL;DR: The authors performed a detailed study of the ratio of low-alpha to high-alpha stars in the Galactic halo as observed by the Gaia-ESO Survey and found that the value of this ratio did not show evidence of systematic trends as a function of metallicity, surface gravity, Galactic latitude, Galactic longitude, height above the Galactic plane and Galactocentric radius.
Journal ArticleDOI
The AMBRE Project: Constraining the lithium evolution in the Milky Way
Guillaume Guiglion,P. de Laverny,Alejandra Recio-Blanco,C. C. Worley,M. P. De Pascale,Thomas Masseron,Nikos Prantzos,S. Mikolaitis +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, a massive and homogeneous catalogue of lithium abundances for 7300 stars derived with an automatic method coupling, a synthetic spectra grid, and a Gauss-Newton algorithm is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI
Fluorine Abundances in the Globular Cluster M 4
Rafael Guerço,Katia Cunha,Verne V. Smith,C. B. Pereira,Carlos Abia,David L. Lambert,Patrick de Laverny,Alejandra Recio-Blanco,Henrik Jönsson +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the chemical abundances for the elements carbon, sodium, and fluorine in 15 red giants of the globular cluster M 4, as well as six red giants (probabilistic) of the Globular Cluster $\omega$ Centauri were calculated via spectral synthesis.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Gaia-ESO Survey: the chemical structure of the Galactic discs from the first internal data release
S. Mikolaitis,S. Mikolaitis,Vanessa Hill,Alejandra Recio-Blanco,P. de Laverny,C. Allende Prieto,Georges Kordopatis,Grazina Tautvaisiene,Donatella Romano,Gerard Gilmore,Sofia Randich,Sofia Feltzing,Giuseppina Micela,Antonella Vallenari,Emilio J. Alfaro,Thomas Bensby,Angela Bragaglia,Ettore Flaccomio,A. C. Lanzafame,Elena Pancino,Elena Pancino,Rodolfo Smiljanic,Maria Bergemann,Giovanni Carraro,M. T. Costado,Francesco Damiani,A. Hourihane,Paula Jofre,Carmela Lardo,Laura Magrini,Enrico Maiorca,L. Morbidelli,Luca Sbordone,S. G. Sousa,Clare Worley,Simone Zaggia +35 more
TL;DR: In this article, the abundances of eight elements (Mg, Al, Si, Ca, Ti, Fe, Cr, Ni, and Y) were derived from the first internal data release of the Gaia-ESO survey.
