In vivo and in vitro macrophage activation induced by IFN gamma spontaneously released by spleen cells from tumor bearing mice.
Alessandra Zicari,Marcella Lipari,L. Di Renzo,Agostina Longo,Guido Antonelli,Giuseppe M. Pontieri +5 more
TL;DR: Peritoneal macrophages obtained from Lewis Lung carcinoma (3LL) tumor bearing mice acquire this property and become fully activated after in vitro incubation with supernatants derived from cultures of splenocytes from tumor bearing syngeneic mice.
Journal ArticleDOI
Antiviral Filtering Capacity of GO-Coated Textiles
Federica Valentini,Mara Cirone,Michela Relucenti,Roberta Santarelli,Aurelia Gaeta,Valentina Mussi,Sara De Simone,Alessandra Zicari,Stefania Mardente +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, Graphene oxide (GO) nanosheets were combined with textile samples to study GO antiviral potential, and the results suggest that GO may exert antiviral properties that can be exploited for medical devices and general use fabrics.
Journal ArticleDOI
IFNγ and TNFα cause an increased release of C3 by murine macrophages
Livia Di Renzo,Maria Rita De Cristofaro,Alessandra Zicari,Roberta Viola,Giuseppe M. Pontieri,Marcella Lipari +5 more
TL;DR: Results show that murine macrophages increase the release of C3 molecules upon treatment with IFNγ or TNFα and that these cytokines released in vivo by splenocytes from tumor bearing mice may account, together with a yet unknown factor, for a humoral network causing the increased release ofC3 by peritoneal macrophage.
Journal ArticleDOI
GO Nanosheets: Promising Nano Carrier for the S29, 1-(2-Chloro-2-(4-chlorophenyl-ethyl)-N-(4-fluorobenzyl)-1H-pyrazolo[3,4-d] pyrimidin-4-amine, Therapeutic Agent in Neuroblastoma.
Stefania Mardente,Michele Aventaggiato,Emanuela Mari,Antonio Francioso,Marco Tafani,Luciana Mosca,Alessandra Zicari,Igor Malyshev,L. V. Kuznetsova,Federica Valentini +9 more
TL;DR: The results show that the compound GO-S29 exerts anti-tumoral effects on the neuroblastoma cell line, higher than both GO and S29 do alone and that GO has an additive effect on S29.
Journal Article
The hemopoietic progenitor 32DCl3(G) cells synthesize C3 molecules and acquire C3b acceptor sites upon differentiation or neoplastic transformation.
L. Di Renzo,Alessandra Zicari,Agostina Longo,M Realacci,G Naso,Giuseppe M. Pontieri,Marcella Lipari +6 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that C3 synthesis, release, and cleavage are properties already present in the progenitor 32DCl3(G) cells.
