Journal ArticleDOI
Direct Oxidation of L-Sorbose to 2-Keto-L-gulonic Acid with Molecular Oxygen on Platinum- and Palladium-Based Catalysts
TL;DR: In this paper, the selective oxidation of the C1 hydroxyl group of L-sorbose to a carboxylic group without protection of the four other hydroxy functions was investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Influence of support acid-base properties on the platinum-catalyzed enantioselective hydrogenation of activated ketones
Fatos Hoxha,Bjoern Schimmoeller,Zdenek Cakl,Atsushi Urakawa,Tamas Mallat,Sotiris E. Pratsinis,Alfons Baiker +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the influence of support acidity and basicity was investigated in the enantioselective hydrogenation of methyl benzoylformate and ketopantolactone.
Journal ArticleDOI
Epoxidation of styrene with cobalt-hydroxyapatite and oxygen in dimethylformamide: A green technology?
TL;DR: The role of amide-type solvents, particularly DMF, was studied in the epoxidation of styrene over Co2+-exchanged hydroxyapatite.
Journal ArticleDOI
Selective catalytic reduction of nitric oxide over amorphous and crystalline chromia: I. Comparative study of activities
TL;DR: In this article, the authors compared the catalytic reduction of nitric oxide by ammonia in excess oxygen on high surface area amorphous chromia with α-Cr2O3 and found that the amorphus was highly selective to nitrogen whilst the crystalline chromia showed higher selectivity to the formation of nitrous oxide.
Journal ArticleDOI
Distinct spatial changes of the catalyst structure inside a fixed-bed microreactor during the partial oxidation of methane over Rh/Al2O3
Stefan Hannemann,Jan-Dierk Grunwaldt,Niels van Vegten,Alfons Baiker,P. Boye,Christian G. Schroer +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, an X-ray image of the R 2 O 3 (Rh) was used to determine the structural changes of the catalyst in a micro-reactor with a fixed-bed of 2.5 Wt% Rh/Al O 3.
