Raman Scattering: From Structural Biology to Medical Applications
A. V. Vlasov,Nina Maliar,Sergey V. Bazhenov,Evelina I. Nikelshparg,Nadezda A. Brazhe,Anastasiia D. Vlasova,Stepan D. Osipov,Vsevolod V. Sudarev,Yury L. Ryzhykau,Andrey Bogorodskiy,Egor Zinovev,A. V. Rogachev,Ilya V. Manukhov,Valentin Borshchevskiy,Alexander I. Kuklin,Jan Pokorný,Olga Sosnovtseva,Georgy V. Maksimov,Valentin Gordeliy +18 more
TL;DR: It is shown that RS is a powerful method that links the fundamental structural biology and its medical applications in cancer, cardiovascular, neurodegenerative, atherosclerotic, and other diseases.
Journal ArticleDOI
ATP synthase FOF1 structure, function, and structure-based drug design
Alexey V. Ulasov,Stepan D. Osipov,Nikolay S. Bondarev,Vladimir N. Uversky,Valentin Borshchevskiy,Mikhail F. Yanyushin,Ilya V. Manukhov,Andrey Rogachev,Anastasiia D. Vlasova,Nikolay S. Ilyinsky,Alexander I. Kuklin,Norbert A. Dencher,Valentin Gordeliy +12 more
TL;DR: This work analyzed and systematized the most relevant information about the structural organization of FOF1 to discuss how this approach might help in the development of new therapies targeting ATP synthases and design tools for cellular bioenergetics control.
Journal ArticleDOI
Low-resolution structures of modular nanotransporters shed light on their functional activity
Yuri V. Khramtsov,Anastasiia D. Vlasova,A. V. Vlasov,Andrey A. Rosenkranz,Alexey V. Ulasov,Yury L. Ryzhykau,Alexander I. Kuklin,Anton S. Orekhov,Ilia B Eydlin,Georgii P. Georgiev,Valentin Gordeliy,Alexander S. Sobolev +11 more
TL;DR: A low-resolution 3D structure of an MNT is presented which suggests that the MNT can adopt two main conformations, but in both conformations the protein N- and C-termini are distanced and do not influence each other.
Journal Article
Low-resolution structure of modular nanotransporters obtained by small-angle X-ray scattering method
Anastasiia D. Vlasova,Alexander S. Sobolev,A. V. Vlasov,Yu. V. Khramtsov,Alexander I. Kuklin,Valentin Gordeliy +5 more
Journal ArticleDOI

TL;DR: A comprehensive function-structure study of a representative of a new clade of proton pumping rhodopsins from Sphingomonas paucimobilis (SpaR) shows cavity/gate architecture of the proton translocation pathway rather resembling channelrhodopsin this article .
