Interventions for improving coverage of childhood immunisation in low‐ and middle‐income countries
Angela Oyo-Ita,Charles Shey Wiysonge,Chioma Oringanje,Chukwuemeka E Nwachukwu,Olabisi Oduwole,Martin M Meremikwu +5 more
TL;DR: Moderate-certainty evidence is found that health education at village meetings or at home probably improves coverage with three doses of diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis vaccines, and that regular immunisation outreach may improve full immunisation coverage.
Journal ArticleDOI

TL;DR: This large head-to-head comparison of most currently available ACTs in sub-Saharan Africa showed that AL, ASAQ, andDHAPQ had excellent efficacy, up to day 63 post-treatment, supporting the recent recommendation of considering DHAPQ as a valid option for the treatment of uncomplicated P. falciparum malaria.
Journal ArticleDOI
Honey for acute cough in children.
TL;DR: Honey may be better than 'no treatment', diphenhydramine and placebo for the symptomatic relief of cough, but it is not better than dextromethorphan.
Journal ArticleDOI
Paracetamol versus placebo or physical methods for treating fever in children
TL;DR: Trial evidence that paracetamol has a superior antipyretic effect than placebo is inconclusive and there is insufficient evidence to show whether par acetamol influenced the risk of febrile convulsions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Quality of child health services in primary health care facilities in south-east Nigeria.
TL;DR: Inadequacy in the quality of child health services in PHC facilities is a product of failures in a range of quality measures -- structural (lack of equipment and essential drugs), process failings (non-use of the national case management algorithm and lack of a protocol of systematic supervision of health workers).
