Fracture fixation in the operative management of hip fractures (FAITH) : an international, multicentre, randomised controlled trial

Aaron Nauth, +551 more
- 15 Apr 2017 -
TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the effect of a sliding hip screw versus cancellous screws on the risk of reoperation and other key outcomes, and found that the sliding hip screws showed no advantage in terms of hip fracture healing, relieve pain, treat infection, or improve function.

Fracture fixation in the operative management of hip fractures (FAITH): an international, multicentre, randomised controlled trial

Aaron Nauth, +551 more
TL;DR: In terms of reoperation rates the sliding hip screw shows no advantage, but some groups of patients (smokers and those with displaced or base of neck fractures) might do better with a sliding hip Screw than with cancellous screws.
Journal ArticleDOI

Small area estimation of crop yield using remote sensing satellite data

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used satellite spectral data along with survey data to develop a more efficient post-stratified estimator of crop yield which suggested that with the use of satellite data and crop yield data, it is possible to develop small area estimates at tehsil/block level with the existing sampling design.
Journal ArticleDOI

Time series analysis of groundwater levels and projection of future trend

TL;DR: In this article, a study was taken for identifying the trends in pre and post-monsoon groundwater levels using Mann- Kendall test and Sen's slope estimator, and for time series modelling of groundwater levels for forecasting the pre-and postmonsoon water levels in Karnal district of Haryana.
Journal ArticleDOI

Dimensional issues in agricultural data warehouse designs

TL;DR: Some of the challenges faced in designing the INARIS data warehouse are presented, specifically dimensional and deployment challenges of the warehouse.
