Methods for samples preparation in proteomic research
Anna Bodzon-Kulakowska,Anna Bierczyńska-Krzysik,Tomasz Dylag,Anna Drabik,Piotr Suder,Marek J. Noga,Justyna Jarzebinska,Jerzy Silberring,Jerzy Silberring +8 more
TL;DR: In this review, problems associated with general strategies of samples preparation, and experimental demands for these processes are discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Proteomics in neurosciences
Anna Drabik,Anna Bierczyńska-Krzysik,Anna Bodzon-Kulakowska,Piotr Suder,Jolanta Kotlinska,Jerzy Silberring,Jerzy Silberring +6 more
TL;DR: This review provides an outline of the most important proteomic applications in the study of neurodegenerative disorders including Alzheimer's (AD), Parkinson's (PD), Huntington's (HD), and prion diseases, and also discusses advances in cancer and addiction.
Journal ArticleDOI
Rat brain proteome in morphine dependence.
Anna Bierczyńska-Krzysik,Emilia Bonar,Emilia Bonar,Anna Drabik,Marek J. Noga,Piotr Suder,Tomasz Dylag,Adam Dubin,Jolanta Kotlinska,Jerzy Silberring,Jerzy Silberring +10 more
TL;DR: Inspection of protein profiles, following TCA/acetone precipitation and the use of nano-scale liquid chromatography coupled to tandem mass spectrometry allowed for identification of eleven potential dependence markers, mainly cytoplasmic and mitochondrial enzymes, e.g. proteins that belong to GTPase and GST superfamilies.
Journal ArticleDOI
Desorption electrospray ionisation (DESI) for beginners--how to adjust settings for tissue imaging.
TL;DR: Differences between the results and the method of optimisation for biological and non-biological samples were shown and the influence of different parameters on the quality of mass spectra was indicated.
Journal ArticleDOI
The new face of nucleolin in human melanoma.
Dorota Hoja-Łukowicz,Małgorzata Przybyło,Ewa Pocheć,Anna Drabik,Jerzy Silberring,Marcelina Kremser,Dirk Schadendorf,Piotr Laidler,Anna Lityńska +8 more
TL;DR: Using bioinformatic peptide prediction programs, nucleolin was shown to contain multiple possible MHC class-I binding peptides in its sequence which makes nucleolin an interesting melanoma marker and target for immunodiagnostic and possibly therapeutic purposes.
