Journal ArticleDOI
High resolution SNP array genomic profiling of peripheral T cell lymphomas, not otherwise specified, identifies a subgroup with chromosomal aberrations affecting the REL locus
Sylvia Hartmann,Stefan Gesk,René Scholtysik,Markus Kreuz,Stefanie Bug,Inga Vater,Claudia Döring,Sergio Cogliatti,Marie Parrens,Jean-Philippe Merlio,Anna Kwiecinska,Anna Porwit,Pier Paolo Piccaluga,Stefano Pileri,Gerald Hoefler,Ralf Küppers,Reiner Siebert,Martin-Leo Hansmann +17 more
TL;DR: Gains of 2p15–16 were confirmed in each of three cases analysed by fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) and were associated with breakpoints at the REL locus in two of these cases, suggesting expression of REL protein may be of pathogenetic relevance.
Journal ArticleDOI
Dual targeting of IGF-1R and PDGFR inhibits proliferation in high-grade gliomas cells and induces radiosensitivity in JNK-1 expressing cells.
Mia Carapancea,Daria Cosaceanu,Raluca Budiu,Anna Kwiecinska,Ligia Gabriela Tataranu,Vasile Ciubotaru,Oana Alexandru,Monica Banita,Cătălina Gabriela Pisoschi,Magnus Bäcklund,Rolf Lewensohn,Anica Dricu +11 more
TL;DR: Co-expression of Insulin like growth factor-1 receptor (IGF-1R) and platelet derived growth factor receptor (PDGFR) and co-inhibition in two high-grade gliomas (HGG) cell lines 18 and 38 caused an increased cell death and induced the radiosensitization of the JNK1 expressing cell line.
Journal ArticleDOI
Amplification of 2p as a genomic marker for transformation in lymphoma
Anna Kwiecinska,Koichi Ichimura,Mattias Berglund,Andrii Dinets,Luqman Sulaiman,V. Peter Collins,Catharina Larsson,Anna Porwit,Svetlana Lagercrantz +8 more
TL;DR: Quantitative real‐time PCR showed a higher level of amplification of REL, USP34, and COMMD1 (all involved in the NFκΒ‐pathway) compared with BCL11A, which indicates that the altered genes disrupting the NFσΒ pathway may be the driver genes of transformation rather than the previously suggested BCL 11A.
Journal ArticleDOI
p53 is associated with high-risk and pinpoints TP53 missense mutations in mantle cell lymphoma
Joana M. Rodrigues,May Hassan,Catja Freiburghaus,Christian Winther Eskelund,Christian H. Geisler,Riikka Räty,Arne Kolstad,Christer Sundström,Ingrid Glimelius,Kirsten Grønbæk,Anna Kwiecinska,Anna Porwit,Mats Jerkeman,Sara Ek +13 more
TL;DR: The accuracy of p53 as a tool to identify patients with TP53 missense mutations and the prognostic impact of overexpression and mutations in a Swedish population‐based cohort was found to be 82%, with sensitivity at 82% and specificity at 100% in paired samples.
Journal ArticleDOI
CD274 (PD-L1)/PDCD1 (PD-1) expression in de novo and transformed diffuse large B-cell lymphoma.
Anna Kwiecinska,Nikolaos Tsesmetzis,Mehran Ghaderi,Lorand Kis,Leonie Saft,George Z. Rassidakis +5 more
TL;DR: It is shown that complete surgical excision is essential for the management of patients with breast implant-associated anaplastic large-cell lymphoma and whole exome sequencing reveals activating JAK1 and STAT3 mutations in breast implants-associated hyper-large cell lymphoma anaplastics large cell.
