Non-destructive characterization of the spatial variation of γ/γ′ lattice misfit in a single-crystal Ni-based superalloy by energy-resolved neutron imaging
Florencia Malamud,Javier R. Santisteban,Yan Gao,Takenao Shinohara,Kenichi Oikawa,Anton S. Tremsin +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper , an analytical model is developed to describe the full wavelength pattern of Laue peaks arising from a specimen composed of two single crystals, and this model is used to perform least-squares refinements of the spectra measured at different positions of the specimen, with a spatial resolution of ∼500 × 500 µm.
Journal ArticleDOI
Improving detection efficiency in a cryogenic environment - implications for DESIREE
E. K. Anderson,Stefan Rosén,Peter Reinhed,John D. Alexander,Neal T. Sullivan,Anton S. Tremsin,D. Gorelikov,Henning Zettergren,Henrik Cederquist,Henning T. Schmidt +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the detector properties of a novel atomic layer deposition activated MCP developed by Gorelikov et al. This is of particular interest to us as MCPs are used for particle detection at the cryogenic DESIREE facility at Stockholm University.

TL;DR: The complex, unique, and powerful imaging instrument for dynamics (CUPI2D) as discussed by the authors is among the first eight instruments that will be commissioned at the Spallation Neutron Source (SNS) as part of the construction project.
