TL;DR: A comprehensive effort is needed to identify the cause of such high prevalence of head and neck cancers in North-eastern India, generate awareness and treatment options suited to meet this challenge.
Journal ArticleDOI

enhancing grain yield, biomass and nitrogen use efficiency of maize by varying sowing dates and nitrogen rate under rainfed and irrigated conditions

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of sowing date and nitrogen application rates on maize dry matter, grain yield and nitrogen use efficiency under rainfed and irrigated condition was investigated under two planting dates, namely, timely and late sowing scenarios.
Journal ArticleDOI

Diagnosis of Tropospheric Moisture over Saudi Arabia and Influences of IOD and ENSO

TL;DR: A diagnostic study of atmospheric moisture data over Saudi Arabia derived from a 43-yr National Centers for Environmental Prediction-National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCEP-NCAR) reanalysis revealed that moisture convergence in the lower troposphere and divergence in and above the middle troposphere occurs throughout the year as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Beam shaping using nonlinear phase distribution in a uniformly spaced array

TL;DR: In this article, the phase distribution of a linear array of discrete sources for a specified radiation pattern and a fixed aperture amplitude function is determined by transforming the finite series representing the array factor into an infinite series each term in the form of an integral.
Journal Article

Effects of plant extract Centella asiatica (Linn.) on cold restraint stress ulcer in rats.

TL;DR: Pretreatment with bicuculline methiodide at the dose level of 0.5 mg/kg im, reversed the antiulcerogenic activity of both plant extract and sodium valproate and did not induce gastric ulceration in normal rat.
