Journal ArticleDOI
Diagnostic value of HSP70, glypican 3, and glutamine synthetase in hepatocellular nodules in cirrhosis.
Luca Di Tommaso,Giada Franchi,Young Nyun Park,Barbara Fiamengo,Annarita Destro,Emanuela Morenghi,Marco Montorsi,Guido Torzilli,M. A. Tommasini,Luigi Terracciano,Luigi Tornillo,Raffaella Vecchione,Massimo Roncalli +12 more
TL;DR: The adopted panel of 3 markers is very helpful in distinguishing eHCC‐G1 from dysplastic nodules arising in cirrhosis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Telomere shortening and inactivation of cell cycle checkpoints characterize human hepatocarcinogenesis.
Ruben R. Plentz,Young Nyun Park,André Lechel,Haeryoung Kim,Friederike Nellessen,Britta Heike Langkopf,Ludwig Wilkens,Annarita Destro,Barbara Fiamengo,Michael P. Manns,Massimo Roncalli,Karl Lenhard Rudolph +11 more
TL;DR: The inactivation of cell cycle checkpoints coincides with further telomere shortening and an accumulation of DNA damage in SCC and HCC, suggesting that SCC represent more advanced precursor lesions compared with LCC.
Journal ArticleDOI
Metrically measuring liver biopsy: a chronic hepatitis B and C computer-aided morphologic description.
TL;DR: The present study confirms that biopsies are still valuable, not only for diagnosing chronic hepatitis, but also for quantifying changes in the organization and order of liver tissue structure.
Journal ArticleDOI
Sporadic endolymphatic sac tumor : its clinical, radiological, and histological features, management, and follow-up
Arturo M. Poletti,Siba P. Dubey,Regina Barbò,Sergio Pericotti,Barbara Fiamengo,Giovanni Colombo,Marta Scorsetti,Rosaria Lorusso,Antonio Mazzoni +8 more
TL;DR: Sporadic endolymphatic sac tumor (ELST) is rare and the clinical, radiological, and histological features, treatment, and follow-up are described.
Journal ArticleDOI
Pituitary Tumor-Transforming Gene 1 Is Expressed in Primary Ductal Breast Carcinoma, Lymph Node Infiltration, and Distant Metastases
TL;DR: The findings suggest that the immunohistochemical evaluation of PTTG1 expression might be a powerful biomarker of recognition and quantification of the breast cancer cells in routine pathological specimens and a potential target for developing an effective immunotherapeutic strategy for primary and metastatic breast cancer.
