Journal ArticleDOI

Lanthanide Complexes for Luminescence Imaging Applications

TL;DR: In this article, the imaging applications of luminescent complexes and recent advances in the design and photophysical behaviour of near-IR responsive complexes are reviewed and various properties of the luminecent lanthanide complexes are also discussed in detail.
Journal ArticleDOI

Self-assembly of luminescent ternary complexes between seven-coordinate lanthanide(III) complexes and chromophore bearing carboxylates and phosphonates.

TL;DR: Ternary complexes obtained from chromophore appended carboxylates dissociate in the presence of phosphate, while those obtained from phosphonates do not, and this interaction can be utilised to probe the choice of sensitising chromophile suited to a given lanthanide.
Journal ArticleDOI

p-SCN-Bn-HOPO: A Superior Bifunctional Chelator for 89Zr ImmunoPET

TL;DR: In vivo studies demonstrate the successful use of (89)Zr-HOPO-trastuzumab to image BT474 breast cancer with low background, good tumor to organ contrast, and, importantly, very low bone uptake.
Journal ArticleDOI

Interaction between tetrathiafulvalene carboxylic acid and ytterbium DO3A: solution state self-assembly of a ternary complex which is luminescent in the near IR

TL;DR: Tetrathiafulvalene carboxylate associates with the charge neutral complex, Yb, in methanolic solution to give rise to a novel ternary species, indicating for the first time that an electron donor chromophore can act as an efficient sensitiser in a self-assembled system containing a lanthanide acceptor.
