TL;DR: It is shown that gene-targeted mice expressing NMDA receptors without the large intracellular C-terminal domain of any one of three NR2 subunits phenotypically resemble mice made deficient in that particular subunit.
Journal ArticleDOI
Gene Structure of the Murine N-Methyl D-Aspartate Receptor Subunit NR2C
TL;DR: Comparison of intron positions in genes encoding different members of the glutamate receptor family confirms a close evolutionary relationship of the NR2C and NMDAR1 subunit genes.
