Multiple receptors mediate the modulatory effects of serotonergic neurons in a small neural network.

TL;DR: The gastropyloric receptor cells are a set of cholinergic/serotonergic mechanosensory neurons that modulate the activity of neural networks in the crab stomatogastric ganglion (STG) and it is shown that these three classes of modulatory response in the STG neurons are mediated by distinct 5-HT receptor subtypes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Embodied environmental damage in interregional trade: A MRIO-based assessment within China

TL;DR: Using a multi-regional input-output model, the authors tracked the environmental damage transfers in interprovincial trade and quantified trade-related damage from four major pollutants for each province in 2007.
Journal ArticleDOI

Pollution control costs of a transboundary river basin: Empirical tests of the fairness and stability of cost allocation mechanisms using game theory

TL;DR: A game theoretic simulation model to analyze the cost effectiveness of reducing water pollutant emissions in four regions of the Jialu River basin while considering the stability and fairness of four cost allocation schemes provides clear empirical evidence that regional gain allocation may affect the sustainability of cooperation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Calcium-dependent plateau potentials in a crab stomatogastric ganglion motor neuron. I. Calcium current and its modulation by serotonin

TL;DR: It is concluded that a voltage-dependent Ca2+ current plays an important role in generating plateau potentials in the dorsal gastric motor neuron of the stomatogastric ganglion in the crab, Cancer borealis.

Adjuvant corticosteroid therapy for critically ill patients with COVID-19

TL;DR: It is indicated that limited effect of corticosteroid therapy could pose to overall survival and prudent dose within effective limits may be recommended for critically ill patients under certain circumstances.
