Journal ArticleDOI
Linking genomic responses of gonads with reproductive impairment in marine medaka (Oryzias melastigma) exposed chronically to the chemopreventive and antifouling agent, 3,3'-diindolylmethane (DIM).
Lianguo Chen,Doris W.T. Au,Chenyan Hu,Weipeng Zhang,Bingsheng Zhou,Lin Cai,John P. Giesy,John P. Giesy,Pei-Yuan Qian +8 more
TL;DR: Overall, this study demonstrated that exposure to DIM impaired reproductive fitness and diverse molecular initiating changes in gonads were linked to apical endpoints that could be used in assessment of risks posed by DIM on gametogenesis.
Journal Article
Structure based investigation on the binding and activation of typical pesticides with thyroid receptor
Dandan Xiang,Ji Eun Han,Tingting Yao,Qiangwei Wang,Bingsheng Zhou,A. Donia. Mohamed,Guonian Zhu +6 more
Journal ArticleDOI
Short- and long-term single and combined effects of microplastics and chromium on the freshwater water flea Daphnia magna.
Ha-Cheol Jeong,Young-Hwan Lee,Alaa El-Din H. Sayed,Chang-Bum Jeong,Bingsheng Zhou,Jae-Seong Lee,Eun-Kyung Byeon +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the individual and combined effects of microplastics (MPs) and chromium (Cr) on the freshwater water flea Daphnia magna were investigated by measuring mortality, bioaccumulation, antioxidative response, multixenobiotic resistance activity, and sestrin-related mitochondrial biogenesis in short-term assays and in vivo endpoints including reproduction and adult survival rate.
Journal ArticleDOI
Mechanistic study of chlordecone-induced endocrine disruption: Based on an adverse outcome pathway network
TL;DR: There is a critical need for expanding AOPs and AOP network before using it in chemical risk assessment, as the mechanism of chlordecone-induced endocrine disruption is unraveled and the limit of AOP's in predicting the adverse outcomes is fetches out.
Journal ArticleDOI
Antibiotic resistance genes and their links with bacteria and environmental factors in three predominant freshwater aquaculture modes.
Qidong Wang,Chengzhi Mao,Lei Lei,Biao Yan,Jing Yuan,Yong Guo,Tianli Li,Xiong Xiong,Xiuyun Cao,Jie Huang,Jian Han,Kefu Yu,Bingsheng Zhou +12 more
TL;DR: Wang et al. as mentioned in this paper investigated the seasonal profiles of the main ARGs, intI1 and bacteria in waters from three kinds of predominant freshwater aquaculture practices around the Honghu Lake (China), as well as their cooccurrences and interrelationships with antibiotics, heavy metals and general water quality.
