Exudate-eating, scent-marking, and territoriality in wild populations of marmosets

TL;DR: The sap-collecting behaviour of marmosets is described and three previously unreported observations are presented: (1) adults scent-marked and urinated on the exudate sources; (2) scent-marking was associated mainly with newly opened exudates; and (3) marmoset do not avoid exudATE sources marked previously by another marmosett, even if the animal belonged to a different family group.
