M.H. Islam,Caroline Koh,Ser Wah Oh,Xianming Qing,Y.Y. Lai,Cavin Wang,Ying-Chang Liang,B.E. Toh,Francois Chin,Guolin Tan,Wee Kian Toh +10 more
TL;DR: The outcome of this study suggests that Singapore has a great potential for employing emerging spectrum sharing technology such as the cognitive radio technology to accommodate enormous demands for future wireless services.
Journal ArticleDOI
Investigating the Effect of 3D Simulation Based Learning on the Motivation and Performance of Engineering Students
Caroline Koh,Hock Soon Tan,Kim Cheng Tan,Linda Fang,Fook Meng Fong,Dominic Kan,Sau Lin Lye,May Lin Wee +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the effect of simulation-based learning on learners' motivation and performance and found that students who undertook SBL had higher mean performance test scores, although SBL may have differential effects on learners depending on factors such as gender, educational backgrounds, and IT knowledge.
Journal ArticleDOI
A self-determination approach to understanding students' motivation in project work
TL;DR: This article identified homogeneous groups of students with distinct perceived locus of causality (PLOC) profiles using a cluster analytic approach, and examined group differences in their perceived psychological needs, emotions, metacognition, and perceived skills learned in project work over time.
Journal ArticleDOI
College students’ motivation and learning strategies profiles and academic achievement: a self-determination theory approach
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined inherent individual difference in self-regulated learning based on Motivated Learning for Learning Questionnaire (MLSQ) using the cluster analytic approach and examined cluster difference in terms of self-determination theory related variables.
Journal ArticleDOI
Understanding students' motivation in project work: A 2×2 achievement goal approach
TL;DR: The study provides support for the 2 x 2 achievement goal framework, and demonstrates that multiple goals can operate simultaneously, however, it highlights the need for cross-cultural studies to look into the approach-avoidance dimension in the 2x 2 achievement goals framework.
