Journal ArticleDOI
Variation of the group 5 grass pollen allergen content of airborne pollen in relation to geographic location and time in season.
Jeroen Buters,Marje Prank,Mikhail Sofiev,G. Pusch,Roberto Albertini,Isabella Annesi-Maesano,Célia M. Antunes,Heidrun Behrendt,Uwe Berger,Rui Brandão,Sevcan Celenk,Carmen Galán,Łukasz Grewling,Bogdan Jackowiak,Roy Kennedy,Auli Rantio-Lehtimäki,Gerald Reese,I. Sauliene,Matt Smith,Michel Thibaudon,Bernhard Weber,Lorenzo Cecchi +21 more
TL;DR: Across Europe, the same amount of pollen released substantially different amounts of group 5 grass pollen allergen, in addition to variations in pollen counts, which might be a valuable addition to pollen counting.
Journal ArticleDOI
Pollen and spore monitoring in the world.
Jeroen Buters,Célia M. Antunes,A. Galveias,K. C. Bergmann,Michel Thibaudon,Carmen Galán,Carsten B. Schmidt-Weber,Jose Oteros +7 more
TL;DR: An inventory of the active pollen and spore monitoring stations in the world is created and an interactive visualization of their distribution is visualised as an interactive and on-line map to improve the monitoring of biological particles up to the current level employed for non-biological components.
Journal ArticleDOI
Release of Bet v 1 from birch pollen from 5 European countries. Results from the HIALINE study
Jeroen Buters,Michel Thibaudon,Matt Smith,Roy Kennedy,Auli Rantio-Lehtimäki,Roberto Albertini,Gerald Reese,Bernhard Weber,Carmen Galán,Rui Brandão,Célia M. Antunes,Siegfried Jäger,Uwe Berger,Sevcan Celenk,Łukasz Grewling,Bogdan Jackowiak,I. Sauliene,Ingrid Weichenmeier,G. Pusch,Hakan Sarioglu,Marius Ueffing,Heidrun Behrendt,Marje Prank,Mikhail Sofiev,Lorenzo Cecchi +24 more
TL;DR: Monitoring atmospheric concentrations ofBirch pollen grain and the matched major birch pollen allergen Bet v 1 simultaneously across Europe within the EU-funded project HIALINE (Health Impacts of Airborne Allergen Information Network) found a humanized basophil activation test correlated much better with allerGEN concentrations in ambient air than with pollen count.
Journal ArticleDOI
CT evaluation after neoadjuvant FOLFIRINOX chemotherapy for borderline and locally advanced pancreatic adenocarcinoma
Mathilde Wagner,Célia M. Antunes,Daniel Pietrasz,Christophe Cassinotto,Magaly Zappa,Antonio Sa Cunha,Oliver Lucidarme,Jean-Baptiste Bachet +7 more
TL;DR: In BR/LA pancreatic adenocarcinoma after the neoadjuvant FOLFIRINOX regimen (± chemoradiotherapy), significant tumour size decreases were observed on CT, however, CT staging was not predictive of resectability and pathological response.
Journal ArticleDOI
Airborne olive pollen counts are not representative of exposure to the major olive allergen Ole e 1.
Carmen Galán,Célia M. Antunes,Célia M. Antunes,Rui Brandão,C. Torres,Herminia García-Mozo,E. Caeiro,R. Ferro,Marje Prank,Mikhail Sofiev,Roberto Albertini,Uwe Berger,Lorenzo Cecchi,Sevcan Celenk,Łukasz Grewling,Bogdan Jackowiak,Siegfried Jäger,Roy Kennedy,Auli Rantio-Lehtimäki,Gerald Reese,I. Sauliene,Matt Smith,Michel Thibaudon,Bernhard Weber,Ingrid Weichenmeier,G. Pusch,Jeroen Buters,Jeroen Buters +27 more
TL;DR: Olive pollen and Ole e 1 in ambient air in Córdoba, Spain, and Évora, Portugal, are determined using Hirst‐type traps for pollen and high‐volume cascade impactors for allergen.
