Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis, structural characterization and biological activity of helicin thiosemicarbazone monohydrate and a copper(II) complex of salicylaldehyde thiosemicarbazone
M. Belicchi Ferrari,Silvia Capacchi,Giorgio Pelosi,G Reffo,Pieralberto Tarasconi,Roberto Albertini,Silvana Pinelli,Paolo Lunghi +7 more
TL;DR: Two new compounds, helicin (i.e. salicylaldehyde-β-d -glycoside) thiosemicarbazone monohydrate, Het·H2O (1), and bis[aqua(salicylalde thiOSEmicarbazonato)copper(II)]sulfate bisdimethylsulfoxide solvate hexahydrate [Cu(Hsalt)(OH2)]2SO4
Journal ArticleDOI
Variation of the group 5 grass pollen allergen content of airborne pollen in relation to geographic location and time in season.
Jeroen Buters,Marje Prank,Mikhail Sofiev,G. Pusch,Roberto Albertini,Isabella Annesi-Maesano,Célia M. Antunes,Heidrun Behrendt,Uwe Berger,Rui Brandão,Sevcan Celenk,Carmen Galán,Łukasz Grewling,Bogdan Jackowiak,Roy Kennedy,Auli Rantio-Lehtimäki,Gerald Reese,I. Sauliene,Matt Smith,Michel Thibaudon,Bernhard Weber,Lorenzo Cecchi +21 more
TL;DR: Across Europe, the same amount of pollen released substantially different amounts of group 5 grass pollen allergen, in addition to variations in pollen counts, which might be a valuable addition to pollen counting.
Journal ArticleDOI
Release of Bet v 1 from birch pollen from 5 European countries. Results from the HIALINE study
Jeroen Buters,Michel Thibaudon,Matt Smith,Roy Kennedy,Auli Rantio-Lehtimäki,Roberto Albertini,Gerald Reese,Bernhard Weber,Carmen Galán,Rui Brandão,Célia M. Antunes,Siegfried Jäger,Uwe Berger,Sevcan Celenk,Łukasz Grewling,Bogdan Jackowiak,I. Sauliene,Ingrid Weichenmeier,G. Pusch,Hakan Sarioglu,Marius Ueffing,Heidrun Behrendt,Marje Prank,Mikhail Sofiev,Lorenzo Cecchi +24 more
TL;DR: Monitoring atmospheric concentrations ofBirch pollen grain and the matched major birch pollen allergen Bet v 1 simultaneously across Europe within the EU-funded project HIALINE (Health Impacts of Airborne Allergen Information Network) found a humanized basophil activation test correlated much better with allerGEN concentrations in ambient air than with pollen count.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis, spectroscopic characterization and biological properties of new natural aldehydes thiosemicarbazones
Pieralberto Tarasconi,Silvia Capacchi,Giorgio Pelosi,Mara Cornia,Roberto Albertini,Roberto Albertini,Antonio Bonati,Antonio Bonati,Pier Paolo Dall'Aglio,Pier Paolo Dall'Aglio,Paolo Lunghi,Paolo Lunghi,Silvana Pinelli,Silvana Pinelli +13 more
TL;DR: The synthesis and the characterization of new thiosemicarbazones deriving from natural aldehydes by means of 1H NMR, IR, and MS techniques is reported.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis, characterization and biological activity of copper complexes with pyridoxal thiosemicarbazone derivatives. X-ray crystal structure of three dimeric complexes.
Marisa Belicchi Ferrari,Franco Bisceglie,Giorgio Pelosi,Pieralberto Tarasconi,Roberto Albertini,Pier Paolo Dall'Aglio,Silvana Pinelli,Alberta Bergamo,Gianni Sava +8 more
TL;DR: A dimeric copper complex of the unsubstituted pyridoxal thiosemicarbazone, previously tested on Friend murine cell lines, has been recently resynthesized and compared, in vitro and in vivo, with its monomeric counterpart [Cu(H(2)L)(OH(2))Cl]Cl.
