Alkali-Assisted Synthesis of Nitrogen Deficient Graphitic Carbon Nitride with Tunable Band Structures for Efficient Visible-Light-Driven Hydrogen Evolution.

TL;DR: A facile synthetic strategy for nitrogen-deficient graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3 Nx) is established, involving a simple alkali-assisted thermal polymerization of urea, melamine, or thiourea, with superior visible-light photocatalytic performance compared to pristine g-C2 N4.
Journal ArticleDOI

Nitrogen-Doped Porous Carbon Nanosheets Templated from g-C3 N4 as Metal-Free Electrocatalysts for Efficient Oxygen Reduction Reaction.

TL;DR: This approach yields N-CNS with a high nitrogen content and comparable oxygen reduction reaction catalytic activities to commercial Pt/C catalysts in alkaline media.
Journal ArticleDOI

Ammonia Detection Methods in Photocatalytic and Electrocatalytic Experiments: How to Improve the Reliability of NH 3 Production Rates?

TL;DR: The advantages and limitations of the various methods commonly used for NH3 quantification in solution (Nessler's reagent method, indophenol blue method, and ion chromatography method), placing particular emphasis on the effect of interferants on each quantification method are systematically explored.
Journal ArticleDOI

Efficient wettability-controlled electroreduction of CO2 to CO at Au/C interfaces.

TL;DR: The Cassie-Wenzel coexistence state is demonstrated to be the ideal three phase structure for continuous CO2 supply from gas phase to Au active sites at high current densities and the pivotal role of interfacial structure for the stabilization of the interfacial CO2 concentration during CO2RR is quantitatively analysed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Template-free large-scale synthesis of g-C 3 N 4 microtubes for enhanced visible light-driven photocatalytic H 2 production

TL;DR: In this article, a template-free hydrothermal-assisted thermal polymerization method has been developed for the large-scale synthesis of one-dimensional graphitic carbonnitride (g-C3N4) microtubes.
