Journal ArticleDOI
Hard magnetic properties in nanoflake van der Waals Fe3GeTe2.
Cheng Tan,Jinhwan Lee,Soon-Gil Jung,Tuson Park,Sultan Albarakati,Jim G. Partridge,Matthew R. Field,Dougal G. McCulloch,Lan Wang,Changgu Lee +9 more
TL;DR: Anomalous Hall effect measurements on single crystalline metallic Fe3GeTe2 nanoflakes with different thicknesses are reported to highlight its potential for integration into van der Waals magnetic heterostructures, paving the way for spintronic research and applications based on these devices.
Journal ArticleDOI
Antisymmetric magnetoresistance in van der Waals Fe3GeTe2/graphite/Fe3GeTe2 trilayer heterostructures
Sultan Albarakati,Cheng Tan,Zhongjia Chen,Jim G. Partridge,Guolin Zheng,Lawrence Farrar,Edwin L. H. Mayes,Matthew R. Field,Changgu Lee,Y. P. Wang,Yiming Xiong,Mingliang Tian,Feixiang Xiang,Alex R. Hamilton,Oleg A. Tretiakov,Oleg A. Tretiakov,Dimitrie Culcer,Yu-Jun Zhao,Lan Wang +18 more
TL;DR: It is revealed that ferromagnetic heterostructures assembled from vdW materials can exhibit substantially different properties to those exhibited by similar heterostructure grown in vacuum.
Journal ArticleDOI
Gate-Tuned Interlayer Coupling in van der Waals Ferromagnet Fe 3 GeTe 2 Nanoflakes
Guolin Zheng,Wen-Qiang Xie,Sultan Albarakati,Meri Algarni,Cheng Tan,Y. P. Wang,Jingyang Peng,Jim G. Partridge,Lawrence Farrar,Jiabao Yi,Yimin Xiong,Mingliang Tian,Mingliang Tian,Mingliang Tian,Yu-Jun Zhao,Lan Wang +15 more
TL;DR: It is shown that a rarely seen zero-field cooled (ZFC) exchange bias with very large values has been observed when higher positive voltages are applied to the protonic gate, which clearly demonstrates that a strong interlayer coupling is realized by proton intercalation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Imaging Domain Reversal in an Ultrathin Van der Waals Ferromagnet.
David A. Broadway,David A. Broadway,S. C. Scholten,Cheng Tan,Nikolai Dontschuk,Scott E. Lillie,Brett C. Johnson,Guolin Zheng,Zhenhai Wang,Zhenhai Wang,Artem R. Oganov,Artem R. Oganov,Artem R. Oganov,Shangjie Tian,Chenghe Li,Hechang Lei,Lan Wang,Lloyd C. L. Hollenberg,Jean-Philippe Tetienne +18 more
TL;DR: In this article, a wide-field nitrogen-vacancy (NV) microscope is employed to directly image the initial magnetization and domain reversal in few-layer flakes of the magnetic semiconductor vanadium triiodide (VI3 ).
Journal ArticleDOI
Antisymmetric magnetoresistance in van der Waals Fe3GeTe2/graphite/Fe3GeTe2 tri-layer heterostructures
Sultan Albarakati,Cheng Tan,Zhongjia Chen,Jim G. Partridge,Guolin Zheng,Lawrence Farrar,Edwin L. H. Mayes,Matthew R. Field,Changgu Lee,Y. P. Wang,Yiming Xiong,Mingliang Tian,Feixiang Xiang,Alex R. Hamilton,Oleg A. Tretiakov,Dimitrie Culcer,Yu-Jun Zhao,Lan Wang +17 more
TL;DR: In this article, the antisymmetric magnetoresistance (MR) effect in van der Waals heterostructured Fe3GeTe2/graphite/Fe3GTe2 devices was reported.
