Chandra Cluster Cosmology Project III: Cosmological Parameter Constraints
Alexey Vikhlinin,Andrey V. Kravtsov,R. A. Burenin,Harald Ebeling,William R. Forman,Allan Hornstrup,Christine Jones,S. S. Murray,Daisuke Nagai,Hernan Quintana,A. Voevodkin +10 more
TL;DR: In this article, Chandra observations of large samples of galaxy clusters detected in X-rays by ROSAT provide a new, robust determination of the cluster mass functions at low and high redshifts.
Journal ArticleDOI
Chandra Cluster Cosmology Project. II. Samples and X-Ray Data Reduction
Alexey Vikhlinin,R. A. Burenin,Harald Ebeling,William R. Forman,Allan Hornstrup,Christine Jones,Andrey V. Kravtsov,Stephen S. Murray,Daisuke Nagai,Hernan Quintana,A. Voevodkin +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the evolution of the galaxy cluster mass functions at z 0.05 and z0.5 using high-quality Chandra observations of samples derived from the ROSAT PSPC All-Sky and 400 deg2 surveys is discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Chandra studies of the x-ray gas properties of galaxy groups
TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a systematic analysis of 43 nearby galaxy groups (kT 500 = 0.7-2.7 keV or M 500 = 1013-1014 h −1 M ☉, 0.012 0.15 r 500, r 2500, r 1500, r 1000, and r 500), for 43 groups and 14 clusters from the Vikhlinin et al. (2008) sample.
Journal ArticleDOI
