Journal ArticleDOI

A cycle for organic nitrile synthesis via dinitrogen cleavage.

TL;DR: New strategies for the functionalization of sterically hindered nitrides and nitrile extrusion from d2 ketimides are presented in the context of a new route for derivatizing N2.
Journal ArticleDOI

The Niobaziridine−Hydride Functional Group: Synthesis and Divergent Reactivity

TL;DR: A multistep synthetic strategy enables the isolation of the niobaziridine-hydride complex Nb(H)(eta2-tBu(H)C=NAr)(N[Np]Ar)2, demonstrating that dual pathways of reactivity are available to the niOBazIRidine-Hydride functional group.
Journal ArticleDOI

Uranium-nitrogen multiple bonding: isostructural anionic, neutral, and cationic uranium nitride complexes featuring a linear U=N=U core.

TL;DR: The X-ray crystal structures of [N(n-Bu)(4)][3], 3, and [3][B(Ar(F))(4)] reveal a linear U=N=U core that contracts by only approximately 0.03 A across the [3](n) (n = -1, 0, +1) series, an effect that is rationalized as being primarily electrostatic in origin.
