Micro T-mixer as a rapid mixing micromixer

TL;DR: In this paper, micro T-mixers are fabricated and tested to investigate their feasibility as a rapid mixing micromixer and their corresponding mixing performances are observed with an optical microscope.
Journal ArticleDOI

Investigation of mixing in a cross-shaped micromixer with static mixing elements for reaction kinetics studies

TL;DR: In this article, a cross-shaped micromixer with static mixing elements (SMEs) was investigated through the use of a computational fluid dynamics software package, and it was found that with the inclusion of these mixing elements at the outlet channel, rapid mixing of two liquids can be achieved, as shown by the results of computer simulations.
Journal ArticleDOI

Nanoscale spatial induction of ultraviolet photoproducts in cellular DNA by three‐photon near‐infrared absorption

TL;DR: How UV photoproducts can be induced in cellular DNA within nanometre dimensions by near‐diffraction‐limited 750 nm infrared laser radiation is described and how it may be used for new biological investigations is suggested.
Journal ArticleDOI

Elongated oligomers assemble into mammalian PrP amyloid fibrils.

TL;DR: Three-dimensional density maps are obtained of two forms of PrP fibrils with slightly different twists that reveal flexible crossbridges between the two protofilaments, and subunit contacts along the prot ofilaments that are likely to reflect specific features of the PrP sequence, in addition to the generic, cross-beta amyloid fold.
