Journal ArticleDOI
Verification of humans using the electrocardiogram
TL;DR: A test set of 234 ECG recordings from 74 subjects was compiled emulating a realistic scenario for ECG biometrics by using short measurements of 10s length in combination with a practicable choice of ECG leads.
Journal ArticleDOI
Determination of reference values for optical properties of liquid phantoms based on Intralipid and India ink
Lorenzo Spinelli,Marcin Botwicz,Norbert Zolek,Michal Kacprzak,Daniel Milej,Piotr Sawosz,Adam Liebert,Udo M. Weigel,Turgut Durduran,Florian Foschum,Alwin Kienle,François Baribeau,Sebastien Leclair,J. P. Bouchard,Isabelle Noiseux,Pascal Gallant,Ozzy Mermut,Andrea Farina,Antonio Pifferi,Alessandro Torricelli,Rinaldo Cubeddu,H-C Ho,Mikhail Mazurenka,Heidrun Wabnitz,Katy Klauenberg,Olha Bodnar,Clemens Elster,M. Benazech-Lavoue,Yves Bérubé-Lauzière,Frédéric Lesage,Dmitry Khoptyar,Arman Ahamed Subash,Stefan Andersson-Engels,P. Di Ninni,Fabrizio Martelli,Giovanni Zaccanti +35 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a multi-center study has been set up to accurately characterize the optical properties of diffusive liquid phantoms based on Intralipid and India ink at near-infrared wavelengths.
Journal ArticleDOI
Solution to the shearing problem
TL;DR: A new, to the authors' knowledge, approach for the evaluation of lateral shearing interferograms is presented, based on an extension of the difference measurements that allows for reconstruction of that part of the underlying wave front whose information is contained in the given difference measurements.
Journal ArticleDOI
Revision of the ?Guide to the Expression of Uncertainty in Measurement?
Walter Bich,Maurice G Cox,René Dybkaer,Clemens Elster,W Tyler Estler,Brynn Hibbert,Hidetaka Imai,Willem Kool,C Michotte,Lars Nielsen,Leslie Pendrill,Steve Sidney,Adriaan M H van der Veen,Wolfgang Wöger +13 more
TL;DR: The Joint Committee for Guides in Metrology, Working Group 1, JCGM-WG1, is currently revising the "Guide to the Expression of Uncertainty in Measurement".
Journal ArticleDOI
Evaluation of measurement uncertainty and its numerical calculation by a Monte Carlo method
TL;DR: In this article, the authors compare the results obtained by the Monte Carlo method for the two examples compared to the corresponding results when applying the Guide to the Expression of Uncertainty in Measurement (GUM).
