Journal ArticleDOI
Transcranial direct-current stimulation (tDCS) for bipolar depression: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
Clément Dondé,Ali Amad,Isabel Nieto,Andre R. Brunoni,Nicholas H. Neufeld,Frank Bellivier,Emmanuel Poulet,Pierre-Alexis Geoffroy +7 more
TL;DR: Depressive symptoms respond to tDCS in patients with BD, and additional studies, and particularly randomized controlled trials, are needed to clarify the effectiveness of tDCs in bipolar depression, the frequency of tDCS‐emergent hypomania/mania, and which tDCS modalities are most efficient.
Journal ArticleDOI
Bimodal distribution of tone-matching deficits indicates discrete pathophysiological entities within the syndrome of schizophrenia
Clément Dondé,Antigona Martinez,Joshua T. Kantrowitz,Joshua T. Kantrowitz,Gail Silipo,Elisa C. Dias,Gaurav H. Patel,Juan P. Sanchez-Peña,Cheryl Corcoran,Cheryl Corcoran,Alice Medalia,Alice M. Saperstein,Blair Vail,Daniel C. Javitt,Daniel C. Javitt +14 more
TL;DR: Results indicate that EAP measure segregates between discrete SZ subgroups, and its use may be critical to account for the heterogeneity of clinical outcomes currently observed across SZ patients, as well as for pre-clinical detection and efficacious treatment selection.
Journal ArticleDOI
Hierarchical deficits in auditory information processing in schizophrenia.
TL;DR: A mediation analysis showed that serial pitch-pattern detection mediated the relationship between simpler pitch-change detection and AER in patients, consistent with hierarchical models of cognitive dysfunction in SZ with deficits in early information processing contributing to higher level impairments.
Journal ArticleDOI
Tone-matching ability in patients with schizophrenia: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
Clément Dondé,David Luck,Stéphanie Grot,David I. Leitman,Jerome Brunelin,Frédéric Haesebaert +5 more
TL;DR: A systematic review and meta-analysis pooling data about TMT score differences between patients with schizophrenia and healthy controls highlights a large significant disturbance in tone-matching ability in patients as compared with controls.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Impact of Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS) on Bipolar Depression, Mania, and Euthymia: a Systematic Review of Preliminary Data.
TL;DR: Preliminary data suggests that tDCS holds promise as a treatment for BD, especially during depressive episodes, and emerging data suggesting tDCS may impact neurocognition and sleep quality in euthymia and be useful for relapse prevention are emerging.
