TL;DR: Examination of the most recently available data from both Los Angeles, CA, and Indianapolis, IN, shows that social distancing has had a statistically significant impact on a few specific crime types, however, the overall effect is notably less than might be expected given the scale of the disruption to social and economic life.

Fear of Crime, Incivilities, and Collective Efficacy in Four Miami Neighborhoods

TL;DR: In this article, the authors examined the relationship between perceptions of collective efficacy, perceptions of incivilities, and fear of crime and determine whether these relationships are constant between neighborhoods and found that the relationships between perceived collective efficacy and perceived incivility exhibit significant heterogeneity between neighborhoods, as do other relationships.

Assessing the effects of body‐worn cameras on procedural justice in the Los Angeles Police Department*

TL;DR: The authors explored variations in procedural justice delivered in face-to-face encounters with citizens before and after the implementation of body worn cameras (BWC) in the Los Angeles Police Department and found that significant increases in the procedural justice during police-citizen encounters were directly attributable to BWC's effect on police behavior as well as indirect effects on citizen disrespect and other variables.

TL;DR: In this article, the effectiveness of the LASER program was assessed at the reporting district (RD) level using a panel design, and the results indicated that there was a significant reduction in gun crime in RDs in Newton Division compared to RDs from other divisions.
