Journal ArticleDOI
Oncogenic Kras-induced GM-CSF production promotes the development of pancreatic neoplasia
TL;DR: An oncogenic Kras(G12D)-dependent upregulation of GM-CSF in mouse pancreatic ductal epithelial cells (PDECs) is demonstrated and a pathway that linksoncogenic activation to the evasion of antitumor immunity is identified.
Journal Article
Clinicopathologic correlates of solitary fibrous tumors.
Fionula M. Brennan,Muhammad M. Hussain,Helen J Lewis,Daniel G. Coit,Cristina R. Antonescu,Cristina H. Hajdu,Cristina R. Ferrone,Robert S. Gold +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, solitary fibrous tumors (SFTs) are rare fibrous neoplasms arising from the pleura and have been reported at a wide range of anatomic sites.
Journal ArticleDOI
Integrating microarray-based spatial transcriptomics and single-cell RNA-seq reveals tissue architecture in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinomas
Reuben Moncada,Dalia Barkley,Florian Wagner,Marta Chiodin,Joseph C. Devlin,Maayan Baron,Cristina H. Hajdu,Diane M. Simeone,Itai Yanai +8 more
TL;DR: Applying multimodal intersection analysis to primary pancreatic tumors, it is found that subpopulations of ductal cells, macrophages, dendritic cells and cancer cells have spatially restricted enrichments, as well as distinct coenrichments with other cell types.
Journal ArticleDOI
The necrosome promotes pancreatic oncogenesis via CXCL1 and Mincle-induced immune suppression
Lena Seifert,Gregor Werba,Shaun Tiwari,Nancy Ngoc Giao Ly,Sara Alothman,Dalia Alqunaibit,Antonina Avanzi,Rocky Barilla,Donnele Daley,Stephanie H. Greco,Alejandro Torres-Hernandez,Matthew Pergamo,Atsuo Ochi,Constantinos P. Zambirinis,Mridul Pansari,Mauricio Rendon,Daniel Tippens,Mautin Hundeyin,Vishnu R. Mani,Cristina H. Hajdu,Dannielle D. Engle,George Miller +21 more
TL;DR: In this article, the principal components of the necrosome, receptor-interacting protein (RIP)1 and RIP3, are highly expressed in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDA) and are further upregulated by the chemotherapy drug gemcitabine.
Journal ArticleDOI
MyD88 inhibition amplifies dendritic cell capacity to promote pancreatic carcinogenesis via Th2 cells
Atsuo Ochi,Andrew Nguyen,Andrea S. Bedrosian,Harry Mushlin,Saman Zarbakhsh,Rocky Barilla,Constantinos P. Zambirinis,Nina Fallon,Adeel Rehman,Yuliya Pylayeva-Gupta,Sana Badar,Cristina H. Hajdu,Alan B. Frey,Dafna Bar-Sagi,George Miller +14 more
TL;DR: MyD88 blockade exaggerates the ability of dendritic cells to promote the transition from chronic pancreatitis to pancreatic cancer.
