Hierarchically Porous Carbon Plates Derived from Wood as Bifunctional ORR/OER Electrodes.
Xinwen Peng,Lei Zhang,Zhongxin Chen,Linxin Zhong,Dengke Zhao,Xiao Chi,Xiaoxu Zhao,Ligui Li,Xihong Lu,Kai Leng,Cuibo Liu,Wei Liu,Wei Tang,Kian Ping Loh +13 more
TL;DR: As-fabricated cellulose-digested, carbonized wood plates are mechanically strong, have high conductivity, and contain a crosslinked network and natural ion-transport channels and can be employed directly as metal-free electrodes without carbon paper, polymer binders, or carbon black.
Journal ArticleDOI
Recent advances in non-noble metal electrocatalysts for nitrate reduction
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors highlight the latest research progress in the area of non-noble metal materials for electrochemical nitrate reduction and present some strategies employed to improve the performance of nitrate electroreduction.
Journal ArticleDOI
Boosting Hydrogen Production by Anodic Oxidation of Primary Amines over a NiSe Nanorod Electrode
TL;DR: A thermodynamically more favorable primary amine (-CH2 -NH2 ) electrooxidation catalyzed by NiSe nanorod arrays in water is reported to replace OER for enhancing HER, and Mechanistic investigations suggest that NiII /NiIII may serve as the redox active species for the primary amines transformation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Highly photoluminescent two-dimensional imine-based covalent organic frameworks for chemical sensing
Qiang Gao,Qiang Gao,Xing Li,Guo-Hong Ning,Kai Leng,Bingbing Tian,Bingbing Tian,Cuibo Liu,Cuibo Liu,Wei Tang,Hai-Sen Xu,Kian Ping Loh,Kian Ping Loh +12 more
TL;DR: The successful synthesis of highly photoluminescent imine-based 2D-COFs is reported by integrating a non-planar building unit with a pyrene-based unit and transforming the COF into spherical, sub-micron particles.
Journal ArticleDOI
Covalent Organic Framework with Frustrated Bonding Network for Enhanced Carbon Dioxide Storage
Qiang Gao,Qiang Gao,Xing Li,Guo-Hong Ning,Hai-Sen Xu,Cuibo Liu,Cuibo Liu,Bingbing Tian,Bingbing Tian,Wei Tang,Kian Ping Loh,Kian Ping Loh +11 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a new strategy for the construction of 2D-COFs with built-in, unreacted periodic bonding networks by solvent-directed divergent synthesis Tetraphenylethane (TPE), which combines both π-rigidity for stacking and rotational flexibility, is selected as the central core for COF construction.
