Wall Stabilization of High Beta Tokamak Discharges in DIII-D
E. J. Strait,T. S. Taylor,A. D. Turnbull,J.R. Ferron,L. L. Lao,B. W. Rice,Olivier Sauter,S. J. Thompson,D. Wroblewski +8 more
TL;DR: This poster presents a probabilistic procedure for estimating the intensity of the response of the immune system to laser-spot assisted X-ray diffraction during the treatment of central nervous system injuries.
Journal ArticleDOI
Confinement physics of H-mode discharges in DIII-D

Wroblewski +78 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the L-mode to H-mode transition in the DIII-D tokamak is associated with the sudden reduction in anomalous, fluctuation-connected transport across the outer midplane of the plasma.
Journal ArticleDOI
Determination of the noninductive current profile in tokamak plasmas
Cary Forest,K. Kupfer,T. C. Luce,P. A. Politzer,L.L. Lao,M. R. Wade,Dennis Whyte,D. Wroblewski +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the non-inductive part of the measured current profile has been determined for DIII-D plasmas, and a model for the resistivity separates the current profile into inductive and noninductive portions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Nondimensional transport scaling in DIII‐D: Bohm versus gyro‐Bohm resolved
Cc Petty,T.C. Luce,K. H. Burrell,S. C. Chiu,J.S. deGrassie,Cary Forest,P. Gohil,C. M. Greenfield,R. J. Groebner,R. W. Harvey,R. I. Pinsker,R. Prater,R. E. Waltz,R. A. James,D. Wroblewski +14 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the scaling of cross-field heat transport with relative gyroradius ρ* was measured in low and high mode tokamak plasmas using the technique of dimensionally similar discharges.
Journal ArticleDOI
Gyroradius scaling of electron and ion transport.
TL;DR: The scaling of heat diffusion with relative gyroradius [rho][sub *] is measured on the DIII-D tokamak using dimensionally similar discharges for the first time, and a two-fluid transport analysis allows the scaling of the electron and ion fluids to be determined separately.
