Journal ArticleDOI
Outbreak of African Swine Fever, Vietnam, 2019.
Van Phan Le,Dae Gwin Jeong,Sun-Woo Yoon,Hye-Min Kwon,Thi Bich Ngoc Trinh,Thi Lan Nguyen,Thi Nga Bui,Jinsik Oh,Joon Bae Kim,Kwang Myun Cheong,Nguyen Van Tuyen,Eun-Hye Bae,Thi Thu Hang Vu,Minjoo Yeom,Woonsung Na,Daesub Song +15 more
TL;DR: The 2019 outbreak in Vietnam was confirmed by real-time reverse transcription PCR and the causative strain belonged to p72 genotype II and was 100% identical with viruses isolated in China and Georgia.
Journal ArticleDOI
Simultaneous detection of severe acute respiratory syndrome, Middle East respiratory syndrome, and related bat coronaviruses by real-time reverse transcription PCR
Ji Yeong Noh,Sun-Woo Yoon,Sun-Woo Yoon,Doo-Jin Kim,Moo-Seung Lee,Moo-Seung Lee,Ji-Hyung Kim,Woonsung Na,Daesub Song,Dae Gwin Jeong,Dae Gwin Jeong,Hye Kwon Kim +11 more
TL;DR: This newly developed real-time RT-PCR method is expected to detect not only SARS- CoV and MERS-CoV in humans but also several bat CoVs that are closely related to these viruses in bats.
Journal ArticleDOI
Detection of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome‐Like, Middle East Respiratory Syndrome‐Like Bat Coronaviruses and Group H Rotavirus in Faeces of Korean Bats
Hye Kwon Kim,Sun Woo Yoon,Doo-Jin Kim,Bonsang Koo,Ji Yeong Noh,Ji Hyung Kim,Yong Gun Choi,Woon Sung Na,Woon Sung Na,Kyu Tae Chang,Daesub Song,Dae Gwin Jeong,Dae Gwin Jeong +12 more
TL;DR: The results suggest the need for continuing surveillance and additional virological studies in domestic bat, and identify a novel bat rotav virus belonging to group H rotavirus which has only been described in human and pigs until now.
Journal ArticleDOI
Outer membrane vesicles harboring modified lipid A moiety augment the efficacy of an influenza vaccine exhibiting reduced endotoxicity in a mouse model.
Tae-Young Lee,Chang-Ung Kim,Eun-Hye Bae,Sang-Hwan Seo,Dae Gwin Jeong,Sun-Woo Yoon,Kyu-Tae Chang,Young Sang Kim,Sang-Hyun Kim,Doo-Jin Kim +9 more
TL;DR: Results show the potential of fmOMV as an effective mucosal adjuvant for intranasal vaccines.
Journal ArticleDOI
Canine susceptibility to human influenza viruses (A/pdm 09H1N1, A/H3N2 and B).
Daesub Song,Daesub Song,Hyekwon Kim,Woonsung Na,Woonsung Na,Minki Hong,Minki Hong,Seong-Jun Park,Hyoungjoon Moon,Bo-Kyu Kang,Kwang-Soo Lyoo,Minjoo Yeom,Dae Gwin Jeong,Dong-Jun An,Jeong-Ki Kim +14 more
TL;DR: Serological evidence of pdm H1N1 influenza virus infection alone and in combination with canine H3N2 virus was found in the serum samples collected from field dogs during 2010 and 2011, suggesting that dogs may be hosts for human seasonal H3n2 and pDM H1n1 influenza viruses.
